Key Lime Cake II

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2009
This was very tasty. I brought it to work for a potluck and it seemed to go over well. The glaze is the best part because it's super tangy! Will be making this for Easter buffet.

Satiny Chocolate Glaze

Seriously take a look at the ingredients.... how could it be bad?!?!? Goes great with the Too Much Chocolate Cake. Or right off the spoon! :)

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2008
I'm jumping on the bandwagon. This cake is awesome! I, like many others, used the Satiny Chocolate Glaze, and it was wonderful. Even my crabby old Great-Uncle (who never likes anything) said WOW!! A definate keeper for the holiday file!!

Hot Cocoa Mix in a Jar

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2008
Okay so I hate to admit it... but this is the best hot cocoa I've ever had. I didn't expect it to be much different than any other mix I'd tried because I honestly thought "How different could a cocoa mix really be?" This is the perfect mix for adults. It's creamy and smooth, with a good chocolatley taste... but not to sweet. Sometimes hot cocoa can cause tummy aches, but this isn't heavy feeling at all. I made a few changes... some by reader review and some because I can't read directions correctly. I used vanilla non-dairy creamer and a dark chocolate drink mix. I also had to use vanilla pudding because I didn't notice the "non-instant" part and bought the wrong kind. (I had vanilla on hand from a previous oops!) And once it was all mixed I put it in my food processor because my dry milk was bigger than everything else. I will def be giving this as gifts for christmas this year. Have a safe and blessed Christmas! Thanks for the great recipe!!

White Bean Chicken Chili

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2007
I don't really understand the hype on this recipe. I made it exactly like the directions said to and it was okay at best. It was a bit too spicy and it just tasted like a bunch of canned things poured together. I love chicken chili, but I won't make this one again.

Lemon Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2007
This was good, but you could taste the lemon WAY more than the zucchini. I would make it again though if I wasn't looking for a very "zucchini-tasting" zucchini bread.

Cinnamon Rolls III

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2007
Love it! These were moist and yummy. Just be sure to read the directions for the icing. It calls for 1/2 of a 8 oz package of cream cheese... not the whole thing. I think that's why other readers had bad luck with it. The only thing I really have to add is that if you're making the dough my hand, and not in a bread machine, but sure to allow plenty of time for the dough to rise. I made 3 batches and I didn't let the 1st two rise long enough. The 3rd pan did and they were AWESOME!

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2007
This recipe was very disappointing considering how well it was reviewed by other users. First of all the pan size listed made it nearly impossible to get the inside cooked all the way with out burning it on the outside. (And I followed the directions to the letter.) The flavor was okay but the bread was too moist and goopy. I had to slice it and then re-bake the slices in order for it to be edible. The only reason I'm even giving it 3 stars was because my boyfriend said it was good, weird but good. From now on I'll stick to the recipe in my good old better homes and gardens cookbook.

Zucchini Soup II

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2006
I'm a baker, not a cook... but this recipe was so easy even I couldn't mess it up. Wonderful delicate flavor.... I can't wait to share it with my friends. I made this soup to the letter and it was excellent. Just a touch of cracked pepper to taste and you have perfection!
