About this Cook
I'm a 21 year old college student that, as a child, was adamant that she would never cook. Well, you know what they say about hindsight. When I became vegetarian, I started learning how to cook simple things--soup, stir fry, and the like. And then I realized that I didn't really like extravagant things for dinner, I was quite happy with steamed vegetables and rice. So I decided that I would bake bread. Pretty much, that was all she wrote. Now, I've made breads, biscuits, pies, cakes, muffins, and I intend to move on to pastries, as well. I focus on making them as healthy as possible and it's probably just luck that they end up tasting good as well. :P

Mom's Favorite Baked Mac and Cheese
I made this this afternoon for Christmas dinner and I'm certainly pleased with how it came out. I was a little liberal with the ingredients and ended up using almond milk, but it still turned out really well. Like some people suggested, I used bread crumbs on the top of one of them and I think I preferred how that one came out. Great recipe!

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies
My friends loved it, so that's why I give this 4 stars, but I found it to be rather unpleasant. It was entirely too sweet, the sugar overpowered absolutely everything about the recipe. If I ever make this again, I would certainly use much less.

Blueberry Pound Cake
Absolutely fantastic. However, I did make some changes. I didn't grease the pan with butter or sprinkle it with sugar. I used 3/4 cup butter and 1 1/2 cup cane sugar. I added 1/4 cup apple sauce and 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract. But MAN, this is delicious. It came out a gorgeous golden brown and just like other reviewers said, I was shocked that it came out so moist and fluffy despite the thickness of the mixture. 5 stars, definitely.
