Quiche Lorraine I

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2015
It was okay... Too much cream. I used 6 eggs, 3/4 cup 2% milk, 6 slices of prosciutto, 1/2 cup sharp cheddar, 1/2 cup smoked gouda, half of an onion sauteed, scallions, and artichoke heheartsthe temperature and timing also didn't work because it was still not cooked so I had to increase it to 350 degrees for another 5 minutes and turned on the broiler for 1 minute. Sorry, I didn't follow the recipe at all but mine did turn out delicious if that helps... :)

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2014
It was delicious! I did follow other people's recommendations: Stuck with granny smith apples, not too tart at all! (Used 4.5 for a 9inch pie, sliced it and it filled up very nicely; 2 tbsp of cornstarch, although next time I'll reduce it to 1 tbsp because it seized up very quickly and became a bit too gloopy so I had to spoon it on top of the apples but I did do it in layers so that it was still well incorporated; 1 tbsp of cinnamon; 1 tbsp of vanilla; Dash of nutmeg; I was wary of how sweet it would be since it calls for almost 1 cup of sugar (1/2 white, 1/2 brown) so I just put in 3/4 cup of sugar and it was perfect; My syrup wasn't syrupy anymore since the cornstarch seized it up so I just brushed it with egg white and sprinkled coarse sugar on top; Baked it 45 mins at 350 degrees and it came out perfect, crust was perfect, apples were soft I will definitely make this again and again!

Key Lime Cream Pie

Reviewed: May 22, 2014
So simple and so delicious. Perfect consistency. I prefer it to be a bit more on the tart side so I added several more dashes of lime juice and kept tasting it as I went along until it finally suit my fancy. I didn't use key limes since I couldn't find them in any supermarket or specialty store. I used lime juice and I think it worked out just as well. Will definitely make it again!!

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2014
EASY AND DELICIOUS!! I will definitely make this again. Although I did make a few changes similar to what other people had commented on. I used 9 sheets of lasagna (3 each layer), 1.75 lb of ground beef, 1 (28 oz) crushed tomato, 1 (28 oz) diced tomato, 1 (6 oz) can of tomato paste, pinch of cinnamon and red pepper flakes, 1 whole head of garlic (yes, I love garlic), no sugar, 1 tsp of salt. I didn't need to add sugar, the tomato paste added more sweetness than I needed. Baked beautifully. I never made lasagna before but this recipe was so easy that I would most definitely make it again! Mmm Mmm GOOD!

Baked Kale Chips

Reviewed: May 29, 2012
AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS way to eat kale!!! I always loved them at Whole Foods but they had too much flavorings like cheese, ranch, and bbq that increased the calorie count to almost 160-200 calories per serving. They have plain salted but they add so much sodium that its just too much for my taste. This recipe is easy, simple and fool proof. I baked it for 11 mins and they came out perfectly. When I baked the first batch at 13 mins, some came out a bit brown but those were just slightly bitter but still delicious. I love how they're so crispy and just crumble. I'm going to have to buy more kale now!
