This was a great sauce. I cooked a third of the strawberries for about 15 minutes and then blended until smooth. I then sliced the remaining strawberries and added to the sauce. I refrigerated the sauce to serve with mini cheesecakes from this site. For those who said the vanilla made the sauce taste a little off use 1 tsp of fresh lemon juice instead. This is a good sauce that can be served with pancakes, waffles, crepes, ice-cream, cake, etc.**update, after I took this out of the fridge I pureed the whole mixture and added chopped strawberries.
