About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
All manner of Indian cuisine; Soups & salads of all kinds; Curried shrimp & scallops; Thai green curry; Latkes; Stuffed Cabbage; I could go on and on...
My favorite family cooking traditions
Traditional American (meat loaf, pot roast, etc.); Italian, Middle Eastern; Indian .
My cooking triumphs
Doing all the cooking for our own parties of from 50-85 people (Buffet style) and having everyone love it. Was I tickled. An Indian meal w/ Chicken Korma, my own Rice Pilaf, 3 kinds of homemade chutni, chapati, raita, green salad w/ oranges & walnuts, and Saffron pudding for dessert.
My cooking tragedies
A wonderful chilled blueberry soup: can you believe, I forgot to put the top on the blender. The miracle was that we got the mess out of the nearby light blue carpet.

Thanksgiving Cheese Ball
Great taste. I don't have a food processor. I just let all the cheeses get to room temperature then mixed them with a fork, or even easier, with my very clean hands. I didn't have pecans. Used walnuts and it worked fine. Thanks.

Easy Turkey Curry
Very nice, quick meal. I added some frozen peas just long enough before serving to let them cook through. It extended the recipe a bit, added some color and also cut the richness just a bit. Thanks. It's a keeper.
