Swiss Chicken Casserole II

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2007
I had hubby get the chicken for me. Which be brought back, chicken breasts with skin and bones. So I boiled the breasts with a little of salt. Tore the chicken into bits of pieces. I doubled the recipe. I used mushroom soup and chicken soup (condensed), and hubby liked it. This recipe is going into my recipe book.

Looks like I will tossing out my old lasagna recipe. ;) I followed the recipe, except for the sweet sausage, couldn't find that in my area, did substitute it with another. Hubby loved it, kids loved it. It's a keeper.

Refried Beans Without the Refry

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2007
I love this recipe. It's healthy, without the fat. I added garlic salt, and less salt. Didn't even chop the jalapeno, left it whole. When beans were done, I took out the onion and jalapeno. Seperated the beans and liquid. Mashed the beans, while adding the liquid. Loved it. Hubby says the beans had a punch. It's a keeper. Thank you for sharing.

Chesscakes

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2007
Made this for a potluck, at work. None, leftover. It was a hit. I had used 2 different type of preserves, and topped with frosting. I didin't have a round cookie cutter, so I just used one of my drinking cup, that did the job. Thank you, adding this one to my recipe bool.

Chorizo Breakfast Burritos

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2006
I used beef chorizo. Added another egg. Didn't use any peppers, family doesn't like spiciness, BUT I DO ~sigh~. Did fry up some potatoes to add to the burrito mix....yummy.

New Red Potato Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2004
15 minutes of potato cooking wasn't long enough, cooked it 30 minutes. And I added 1 tablespoon pickle juice, and 2 large diced pickles. I thought it was a great and simple recipe. Thanks for sharing.

Chocolate Chip Cookies I

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2004
I've tried so many different chocolate chip recipes, so far this is the best. I tripled the recipe, using 1/2 c. margaine and 1 c. shortening. I baked them, just a little longer, about 9 minutes. So far, ths is the best. Putting this in my recipe book. Thank you for sharing an easy recipe. Yvette

Must be my taste buds, but too tomatoey, and salty. Not spicy enough. But definetly get 5*****'s for easiness of preparation. Yvette

Savory Turkey Gravy

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2003
Awesome!!! I can never make good gravy. I used the pan drippings. This was easy and lots of flavor, and my husband wanted my gravy, not the store bought. (I had both, just in case mine didn't work out). It's a keeper!!! I used 12 TBLSP of flour.

Slow Cooker Stuffing

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2003
This is the best stuffing I ever made. I didn't have dried marjoram. It is a too moist for us, but next time I will cut down on the chicken broth. I used Pepperidge Farms Stuffing, instead of the dry bread cubes. This is a keeper.

Grandma's Chicken Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2003
Loved the recipe. It looked too watery, but have tons of flavor. I added 1 cup more noodles, 1 cup carrots, 1 large onion, and 4 pieces of celery, instead of the 1 cup. My family loves it. Will keep this soup for the winter, to combat those colds and flu. ;^)
