Quick Strawberry Shortcake

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2011
The milk can be used in two different ways. Chilled before using. 1. Stirred in with the strawberries after they have chilled for an hour then proceed as stated. 2. Poured over the shortcake after it has been assembled but, before the whipped topping goes on.

Thank you Mrs K for a treat my Toy Poodle (Little Special) can eat. I have to watch his weight and with all the other illnesses he has this is one he can have. He has gotten to the point if I forget to give him one he goes and stands in front of the fridge to remind me. He loves them. Once again, thank you for such a good treat.

Grilled Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2009
This is a great little sandwich. I have made it for years but, I always toasted my bread in the toaster then spread the peanut butter on one slice and the jelly on the other. Good Eats!

Busy Day Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2008
I printed out this recipe, and some of the reviews, and gave it to my Daughtor so she would be able to fix her BF, on her day off from work. She chose to use chicken brest, because a whole chicken was just to much for them. BF was impressed and wanted seconds so it had to be good. The only problem I have with the recipe is, I loaned her my crock pot, and now I can kiss that puppy good by.:( Thank you for sharing recipe and for everyones reviews. They sure do help:)

Restaurant-Style Coleslaw I

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2008
Thank you Marsha for the best cole slaw recipe I have ever made. I have taken the advice of others and only put the dressing on when ready to serve, and the dressing does get better the longer it sets. Hubby took it to work and the daughter got ahold of it and licked the plate clean. She asked what store he got it from, he said Mom made it. I will be giving her your recipe. It's a keeper :)

Mike's Favorite Grilled Cheese

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2007
To make this "Old Classic" a little different at times, place some thin slices of chipped ham or thin slices of red sweet onion or a slice of garden fresh tomato on the cheese and let it melt into it. Use your imagination with this. You will be surprised of the good flavors you will taste.

Fried Sweet Potatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2003
I was raised having my sweet potatoes done this way for the Hollidays. And for a change now and again I would sprinkle on some Pecans and mini marshmellows just before they are done so the nuts would get warm and the marshmellows would melt. p.s. If no time to boil potatoes, use the canned one, but drain them good.

Mable's Potato Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2000
If you are just starting out for the first time on making there cookies(potato candy). Use a small potato, size of golf ball. You will use a little over half a bag of powdered sugar. More if mixture is still to wet when you try and remove it from the bowl. You will need to use powdered sugar to kneed the mixture like bread dough. When no longer tackey, put powdered sugar on rolling pin and roll out. Follow recipe. Place wax paper between each layer of cookies(candy)to keep from sticking together in air tight containe. Hope this advice helps. :)
