Grandma's Noodles II

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2015
These are great. I used to use homemade dumplings (small) and packaged kuluski noodles to go with my homemade chicken soup but these surpass both. I did use my pasta maker which made them simple to make.

Baked Salmon Fillets Dijon

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2015
Excellent. We've had this twice in the last week. I'm not a salmon lover but do like this. My husband likes salmon and loved this recipe. I even reduced the amount of butter and used panko bread crumbs (that's all we had).. I made a Greek yogurt dill sauce to serve with the salmon. Probably doesn't need it.

Carla's Sausage Cheese Balls

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2012
These are great. I've been trying to find a recipes for Hot Shots that I've had at Wild Wings on Hilton Head Island. Yum. These are the closest I've gotten. I served them with the "Yummy Honey Mustard Dip" found on Allrecipes. I covered my baking sheet with parchment paper and turn them half way through baking. They lift off easily.

Filipino Lumpia

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2012
I used won ton wrappers (easily found in most stores) and rolled on a diagonal. A little more than a tablespoon of filling per wrapper. I did follow a suggestion to put everything in the food processor. I did this with the veggies before sauteing them and back in the food processor with the meat after everything was cooked. I added a T of Better Than Bouillon while blending. And served them with (mild) Sweet Chili Sauce. Yum...the flavor was great. Thank you for sharing your recipe.

Jamie's Minestrone

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2011
This soup is wonderful. I cook and serve the pasta separately from the soup to be added by each person since I've been trying to cut carbs. Also, my husband is a meat eater, so I chop up a package of Italian sausage (with the poultry shears) and saute and serve separately. Thanks Jamie...this soup has been a favorite for years.

Thank you, Dale W! We had our annual progressive dinner last night. We served the appetizers and I wanted to serve a special drink and found this recipe. 5 our of 8 of us were drinking these. They were wonderful.

Mr. Kirk's Won Tons

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2008
These are wonderful! They are a lot of work but well worth it. I've made these a few times with great results each time. The first time I made these, I was asked by friends to bring won tons to their stir fry meal. I had never made won tons before and found this recipe. I took the made up won tons and my fryer and cooked them at my friend's house. A few other people brought other appetizers but these were eaten up right away...and that the best compliment.

Pumpkin Roll Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2007
This was great. Very easy to make. I wish we had the ability to reply to reviews on this site, since we can not I'll make a few comments to some of the reviewers here. Spread the cake in the pan all the way to the corners with a spatula. Smooth it evenly throughout the pan. If you dump it all in the center of the pan, it will not spread out to the corners in the oven by itself. Spray the pan with regular Pam, line it with wax paper, spray the wax paper with Pam for baking (with flour) and the cake will be easy to remove from the pan. Roll the cake in a towel (or as another suggested, use a pillow case). This is done to let the heat and moisture escape. Rolling it in wax paper will trap in moisture from the hot cake and make the cake soggy. Hope this helps.

Cream Cheese Penguins

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2003
I made these last year for our neighborhood progressive Christmas dinner. We were in charge of appetizers. They were adorable as they surrounded the tray of shrimp cocktail. They were time consuming to make. The presentation was worth the effort. I used a pastry bag to fill the large olive with cream cheese.
