Deep Dish Brownies

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2003
LOVE these brownies with my modifications: I only used 2 eggs and omitted the baking powder and I sprinkled chocolate chips on the top. I doubled the recipe and baked in a 9 x 13. These were everything a brownie should be - chewy, fudgy, wonderful! I will make these again and again! Thanks ! ***Update*** Just wanted to let you all know that I made these with baking Splenda and they did beautifully and tasted delicious! *Another Update* - It's been a longtime since I found this recipe, I make it all the time. The only thing I have changed is that we don't use choc chips anymore. This is still a major hit!

Dog Food Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2005
This is a very yummy dip, but my kids wouldn't touch it. No problem as hubby and I ate it all. Next time I made it, right before serving I added a thin layer of shredded cheddar cheese and sliced green onions on top so that you had to dip through that. It looked much more appetizing. Make sure that you buy the sturdy tortilla chips for this. Thank you.

Beef Stroganoff III

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2005
Outstanding!!!!! I can't believe how good that this is! I used 2 lbs. of beef stew meat. I used more flour, salt and pepper to coat than the recipe called for. I browned the meat and then plated it and then used 1 yellow onion, sliced and quartered instead of the green onion and added minced garlic. I really wish that I had sauteed the onion with the meat. I then added the beef broth, mustard, worcestershire sauce (a couple of good shakes). Simmered this. Meanwhile I boiled egg noodles in water, salt and a bouillion cube. Then I added white wine and finally sour cream. This was out of this world! You must have bread to sop the gravy up! Mmmmmm!!!! Thank you!

White Bean Chicken Chili

I have been very sick and was finally craving food, barely. This fit the bill. I subbed corn from a can and changed a couple of things around, but kept the essence of the recipe. Thank you.

FRITOS® Chili Pie Chili Dogs

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2006
Yum, love this. You can customize this to suit your tastes. We make this a lot at work as it is easy to heat up the hot dogs in one slow cooker and the chili in another. We usually use shredded Cheddar cheese and have mustard closeby. Thank you.

Zeke's Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2006
WHOA!!!! This was delicious! I added dried cilantro, omitted the avocado and halved the recipe. Added shredded cheddar cheese at serving. This might be a touch watery or liquidy but I am not complaining. I do think adding black beans and maybe a little corn would be a nice touch. This is out of this world! Thank you.

Absolutely Darling Idea - Thank You! Since we are rooting for the Steelers it was so simple to do the Black and Gold theme. We just used our own cake mix and did our own thing on the candy pieces. I have to confess, I didn't attempt the goal posts! Thanks for the 5 star idea!

Excellent. I can't believe that this is a recipe on here! I do have to say one thing, there is just something about a hot dog bought from a NY street vendor that is better than any hot dog than I can make at home. Thank you.
