Brownie Pie

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2006
OMG, this is to die for! I used a box brownie mix without nuts. On top of the cool whip I put crushed oreo cookies. This was so rich and delicious! There wasn't a square left! Thanks.

BLT Dip

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2006
This was good, but I wasn't as blown away due to the high rating as I had expected to be. I used real bacon pieces from the pouch. I thought that this needed some help to taste better. I added pepper, scallions, onion and garlic powders to help the taste. Thanks.

Spiced Pecans

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2006
Good recipe. Due to previous reviews I cut the cloves back to 1/4 tsp. I keep pecans in the freezer since hubby loves them so much. This is another good recipe that is much cheaper to make than buying these out. Thanks.

Strawberry and Feta Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2006
We LOVE this!!! Mmmm, my mouth is watering just writing this! I am going to make it again tonight. We change out the greens and usually use a spinach blend and cut back a bit on the oil and add a bit more sugar. With strawberries in season now this is SO GOOD! We love this flavor combination. Thanks!

This was FANTASTIC! I found boneless pork ribs dirt cheap and this recipe hit the spot! I omitted the MSG but otherwise made to recipe. Thanks!

Pork Chops in Beer

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2006
Bland and Boring. My teenagers are fascinated with beer, and since they can't drink it yet, I thought this would be a hit. They didn't care for this dish. We ended up covering the chops with sauces from the fridge door. Thanks anyway.

Roasted Vegetables

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2006
Wow! Who knew veggies could look and taste so good? I basically followed the advice of TUNISIANSWIFE (thank you) and these turned out great. If I hadn't added the extra spices I do think that this would have been bland. Thanks.

This was a major hit! Delicious and easy to take to the potluck at work. I used the real bacon pieces from the pouch and used craisins instead of raisins. Thanks!

Picnic Fried Chicken

Yummy. I soaked my chicken in buttermilk ahead of time. Subbed seasoning salt for the salt, added paprika. This is yummy and I loved the chicken cold! Thanks.

Barbecue Beef for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2006
This was very good. However, for the measuring and making of the sauce, I didn't think that it was worth the effort. I won't make this again, I will just go ahead and use Sweet Baby Ray's barbecue sauce and call it a day. Thanks.

Grilled Turkey Club

These were great except for the outside of the bread spread with mayo. I just couldn't bring myself to do that. Made them the regular way. Thanks!

Ham and Cheese Quiche

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2006
Wonderful! I omit the mushrooms and use the little cubed ham from the deli meat section instead of the canned ham. This is great and I just love it. These also freeze well so that you can thaw and pop in the oven when you don't have time to cook. Thanks!

Chicken Kisses

These were good. I "doctored" these up a bit with seasonings, a little bit of italian dressing and soy sauce. This was a fun change for the family. Thanks.

Healthy Banana Cookies

Not impressive. I subbed raisins for dates and peanut butter for oil. These weren't that great. I was interested in a healthy grab-on-the-go morning snack. These won't be made again. Thanks anyway.
