Best Chocolate Chip Cookies
These are excellent! I didn't have enough butter, so I used half butter, half margarine. Still awesome. I'm not good at making cookies, but I can make these. When I used to make cookies before, they always turned out cake-like. I think the reason was because I used to beat the sugar and butter with a mixer until really creamy (like white color). And the same with the eggs. This time, I used a mixer, but not as long...just until I could mix it on my own and it was creamy. Also, I melted the butter and then waited for it to get hard again. I added a little more butter, since mine was melted when I measured it. (about 2 tbs more) So great, I finally found a recipe that makes crispy outside, and chewy inside cookies! yum!
Note: I made these again, and this time I forgot to dissolve the soda in the hot water (I just added it into the dry ingredients). So, I ended up adding the hot water at the very end (before the chocolate chips)...and they still turned out great! I wonder why you have to dissolve the soda in the water. Oh well, I'm happy. :)
