My star rating: 5 STARS ***** Recipe doesn't require tweaking to taste good - cook times & temps are spot on - I'll be asked to make this again. 4 STARS **** Recipe is good, very tasty - Little tweaking is required - instructions make sense & are optimal. 3 STARS *** Recipe requires quite a bit of tweaking to match its name or intention - cook times require tweaking - method is goofy - taste is insubstantial or poor 2 STARS ** This recipe is gross but it MIGHT be my fault - This recipe is in need of tweaking to taste - Recipe is misleading (Chocolate Cake which is actually not chocolate flavored, no matter how tasty, should not come up as 5 stars on a search done for chocolate) Lastly, 1 STAR * This recipe is wrong & you must read reviews to keep from ruining your ingredients - This recipe is inedible, not due to a matter of taste, but due to biology, humans are biologically incapable of consuming this burned/salty/sour/raw whatever combo of foods. One-star ratings are rare for me.

Vegetarian Mexican Inspired Stuffed Peppers
In a recipe twist that will undoubtedly earn me a cussing from the author, I modified this recipe by adding...meat. And reducing the cheese. And a generous topping of salsa, because of the comment that it was dry (it looked dry going in, and we love salsa). And to boot? I didn't boil the peppers, just trimmed them so they'd sit straight and cut jack-o-lantern faces into them. So pretty much I made a million changes -- a great recipe nonetheless!

Cheddar Apple Soup
We all liked this (2 adults, 1 toddler). I think probably the apples should be cooked separately so that you can mix the cheese into the roux rather than melting it into the hot liquidy soup. I didn't do that this time and regret it because the texture wasn't what I think it could be. Tasted fine, though, if a bit thinner than I'd like. I think I'd cut back on some of the liquid in the future to thicken it up a bit. Served it with crusty rolls and sides of roasted broccoli (which tasted great as a soup topper, too!) Thanks for sharing!

Apple Pear Sauce
Loved it. Add sugar to taste if your fruit isn't sweet enough, as is sadly sometimes the case with grocery store pears.
