Grilled 'Fusion' Pork Chops

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2005
This is an excellent marinade recipe - my chops were tender & delicious - my whole family loved them! I can't wait to try it on pork tenderloin, too.

Grilled Tuna

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2006
Very good - the tuna was moist & flavorful. Cooking time depends on the tuna that you are working with & the temperature of your grill - my tuna took 5 minutes each side.

Turkey Goulash

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2012
I thought that this was a good base recipe, but I only used 10 oz of turkey instead of a pound and there was way more than enough meat - too much, really. Next time I will double up on the tomato and other ingredients then freeze the leftovers for another day.

Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2006
This is a great recipe & it will go in my "family favorite" folder! I didn't have bread crumbs on hand so I used fine cracker crumbs instead - I'm sure that this kept the breading from being "loose", as one person described it. It was nicely crispy & I will probably always substitute the cracker crumbs for the bread crumbs.

Outrageous Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2011
These melt in your mouth and are absolutely wonderful! I doubled the batter but didn't change a thing with the recipe. I will be bringing these to our holiday potlucks this year at work!

Amazingly Yummy Surprise Inside Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2003
They were far from terrible, butI thought they were too dry & crumbly - others liked them. I probably won't try them again.

Apple-Cranberry Crisp

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2005
My family liked this, but not as much as I thought they would, given the ingredients. Maybe I did something wrong - I'll try it again.

Aunt Carol's Spinach and Fish Bake

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2005
This recipe was pretty good. I think I may have squeezed the spinach too much as the spinach was a bit dry, but the fish was moist. I'll try it again, leaving the spinach a little wetter. Nice change of taste!

Risotto with Truffle and Parmesan

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2013
This is a great recipe and I will definately make it again! I followed the recipe exactly - no deviations - & it turned out perfectly. It does take time and you must stay on top of the stirring so it won't often make the week night rotation for us, but it's an excellent choice for special occassions or a Sunday dinner.

Fish Chowder

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2012
Very nice and easy recipe. I had to leave out the mushrooms because my husband doesn't like them (unless he can't actually see them). He's a native New Englander and said that it was as good as any he'd ever tasted - high praise!

Feta Cheese Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2011
I made this recipe into several meatloaves for my night to cook on our family vacation this summer and all 17 of us loved them! Not one person ate just a single portion, from the 5 year old to the 55 year old. Excellent recipe - I'm making them again tonight!

Sweet Potato Bird Balls

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2011
My macaw loves these! I used mixed tropical fruit bits instead of just raisins and added some chopped walnuts - he ate 3 of them while I was still rolling them and declared them to be "gooooood yum!" - his highest compliment. These will be a staple in his diet. Thanks for a great recipe.

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2005
We enjoyed this recipe, but thought that it could use just a little more of the taco seasoning - but it was still very good!

Salmon Fillets with Creamy Dill

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2005
Even my husband liked this recipe a lot, & he doesn't like salmon as much as I do. It was quick & easy to make, too - nicely moist.

Colcannon Bake

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2013
This will be my healthier alternative to scalloped potatoes. I had some left over ham and added maybe 1/2 cup of it to the recipe, used small red potatoes with the skins on for more nutrition & color, and used a coleslaw/carrot ready mix. Also used vegetable broth because I had it on hand & it enabled me to cut down on the butter. It was very colorful & a bit healthier with these changes - but as I stated in the beginning, this turned into an alternative to scalloped potatoes. I will follow the directions "as is" for the next Irish meal that I make.

Brined Pork and Sauerkraut

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2013
I'm truly sorry that I couldn't give this recipe a better rating, but it just didn't deserve it. I followed the recipe with one exception: I used less sauerkraut. If you are intrigued with the recipe, don't be discouraged - maybe I misread something and am unaware of it, but I would advise NOT using any of the brine for the cooking portion - use apple juice instead

Salmon Pasta with Spinach and Artichokes

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2012
My husband and & I really liked this, but it was a little complicated. Not wanting to turn the oven on, I pan fried the salmon, then used the same pan for everything else - removing as much of the pesto from the salmon as possible so it didn't burn & turn the meal bitter. It worked great and the flavors worked well together. I look forward to having leftovers for lunch tomorrow!
