Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2009
very good and sure they can't come easier to prepare: you need literally 2 minutes to throw them into the oven, and 8 to bake. You'll have cookies ready in ten minutes! but the taste is quite satisfying!

Apricot Cheese Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2009
very unusual, very yummy! soft, moist and delicious. I had no orange juice but put pineapple instead and the recipe didn't suffer I believe. Also, no nuts in the dough. Could do with a light glaze, but it was perfect as it was. The kids liked it a lot!

White Chocolate Macadamia Cranberry Dreams

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2009
10 stars I would gladly give to this recipe, one of the best I've ever tried (and I've had my share of cookie recipes, believe me!). They are perfection, and the basic is so amazing that you could easily work with it adding this and that, or NOT adding, we didn't put any macadamia, for instance, and went heavily with cranberries. My 5-years-old loved to form the little balls, only we made them bigger than indicated, and both the kids were very pleased with the result.

Oatmeal Whole Wheat Quick Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2009
couldn't be quicker or easier to make; mind, it doesn't rise much, the result is a bit dense and hearty. I didn't process the oats, I thought if I'm being lazy and have no time to wait the normal yeast rising process an'all, well, so the minimum amount of fuss it shall be: but it was ok, expecially served hot

Rosemary Shortbread Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2009
The taste was good and the rosemary touch is fantastic! only, I had to add some chilly water or I would not have been able to turn the dry and crumbly mixture into cookies...

Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2009
I know most of you think this is funny, but I had never done GC and tried for the first time yesterday eve, following faithfully this recipe... so this is a great lesson for us all: never take anything for granted, and remember there's so much out there we can share, as it turned out that everyone does it in a slightly different way:-) thank you all!

Cranberry-Pumpkin Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2009
very cakelike, they are good but the 4 stars come from the fact they are not "impressively" good... I also used dried berries, and the cookie didn't suffer for it, I think

Mississippi Mud Brownies

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2009
very sweet, true, but it's been a big hit in my family. It's good eaten warm and it's good eaten the day after. Don't know about many days after, as it didn't resist so long:-)

Crescent Pastry Puff

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2009
sorry, we didn't like this recipe: the directions on how to put the pastry were confusing, but I compromised producing a strudel of sort. The custard filling was cheesey, not like a Danish filling as I expected. All in all, nothing so special. I'm afraid I won't keep it.

Cranberry Cheese Bars

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2009
good recipe, very easy and also healty: with oats, fruits and cheese it's quite a good morning start, but it's ok on every brunch too... My kid suggested a bit of white choc morsels in the streusel, I'll try this.

Baked Onion Dip II

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2009
no stars enough, a huge hit on my Xmas buffet! and no time at all to prepare. The advice of substitute mayo with yogurth or sour cream, a part at least, worked wonderfully well for me. Definitely a keeper!

Caraway Cheese Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2009
that's a good one! ready in a flash, and fragrant with cheese, smells heavenly! I was worried about mustard, but the taste was very subtle, you really couldn't detect it. My kid said "we'll keep this!". Next time I'll try with whole wheat flour.

Whole Wheat Refrigerator Rolls

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2008
wonderful rolls! easy, nice because you can do the heavy work in advance, healthy... I wanted to serve them with speck and Lardo di colonnata, so I threw onion flakes and fennel seeds: very original and my guests were enthusiastic!

Fondue Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2008
very pretty and original, perfect for a buffet. I was afraid to put too hot liquid on the yeast (I did it once and the yeast was killed and the bread flat), but it worked out beautifully. Easier than I thougth and no cheese oozing out at all.

Ruth's Roquefort Cheese Ball

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2008
very good! I prepared it the day before and served it with warm homemade bread: I know, something crunchy it should have been, but it was very very good!

Apple Oatmeal Cookies II

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2008
very healthy and inobtrusively so; a pity only hubby an I did appreciate. My kids were not impressed. I'll keep this recipe anyway, because this cookie is basically good and can stay very moist for some days. Some may like it sweeter, but I think it's ok.

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2008
Good recipe, but I guess it can improve still, with the changes suggested by other reviewers (nuts, choc morsel, raisins, cranberries). The oil amount was fine with me, and this is still the first day.

Beer Rolls

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2008
good rolls, made in the bread machine in no time at all. I was in a hurry and skipped the flattening of the beer sparkle: they were ok just as well. They freeze well, too.

Fig and Olive Tapenade

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2008
everybody liked it, and it's a quite unusual combination, sweet and salty at the same time. I served it on whole grain bread crusts, with fresh robiola cheese, but I think goat cheese would be fine, too.

Spinach Brownies

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2008
it was not bad, but not exactly thrilling: a crustless spinach quiche. The mozzarella alone is a bit bland, so I suggest to have 3/4 mozzarella and !/ provolone or some such cheese, more savoury; I also would recommend just a bit of parmesan cheese sprinkled on top.
