About this Cook
I love to bake for my friends and family, and I'm always finding new things to try on Allrecipes.
My favorite things to cook
Desserts, Popsicles, breads, dips, smoothies, and appetizers.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We always make clam chowder at Christmas, pumpkin pie at Thanksgiving, cook our pumpkin seeds at Halloween, and make a flag cake on the Fourth.
My cooking triumphs
I made the "Soft Chocolate Cookies" from this site and gave them to my friends. They tasted great!
My cooking tragedies
I made brownies in a mini muffin pan instead of a jelly roll pan, like the recipe suggested, lightly sprayed, and they stuck very badly, I had to scrape them out in pieces and then put them into individual mini muffin paper cups. They still tasted good, though!

Melt - In - Your - Mouth Shortbread
This is the perfect shortbread! I used my stand mixer to whip it with the whisk attachment. Piping was easiest with the largest star tip, and very cute.

Pumpkin Quinoa Muffins
These muffins are delicious! I stuck with 1c almond milk and no water and increased the honey to 1/2 cup. Doesn't make 24 full muffins, probably because of the liquid reduction, might be better to make less and fill the cups. They were done in about 20 minutes. I'm not sure what Gisela was hoping for; I've never heard of muffins turning into flowers ;). Perfectly sweet, nutty and healthy, I might try rinsing the quinoa first to get rid of any bitterness.

Ranger Joe Cookies
Very tasty and delicate and crispy, though I could not taste the rice crispies. I rolled some in coconut and baked in the top of the oven and they got perfectly toasty. Chocolate chips are good for kids too, as they are just sweet enough.
