Beef Enchiladas I

Reviewed: May 15, 2009
These were so good! I served them for company and two people told me that it was the best mexican meal that they had ever had. Served it with the Spanish Rice II recipe from this site, refried beans and guacamole. I did use two cups tomato sauce and two cups canned enchilada sauce rather than 4 cups tomato sauce. Would definately do that again. Thanks for a really good recipe!

Italian Breaded Pork Chops

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2009
Oh so good and so easy! Like others I dredged in flour first, then egg, then crumbs, then all three again. Tender and really flavorful.

Linda's Lasagna

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2009
This tastes exactly like I remember my mother's lasagna tasting. I have been using ricotta my whole adult life as I thought that it was how lasagna should be made. But this is way better. I served for company tonight and most of them had three helpings. This is my lasagna from now on. Thank's so much for the recipe. I put it together the night before, by the way, and then baked as directed the night of the party. I think that helped the cheese layer to set up a bit. Yummy!

Curried Wild Rice Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2009
I did throw in some cooked chicken and used chicken broth rather than vegetable. My husband said he would have liked this better if it had been creamier. Thought the broth was a bit lite.

Chutney Cracker Spread

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2009
My friends loved this. Everyone asked for the recipe. I did think that the green onions were a bit overpowering, however, and will cut back on them a bit when I make it the next time.

Caramelized-Onion Pork

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2008
This is so wonderful! We eat pork tenderloin alot and I usually marinate it. This was quicker and easier and was even more flavorful and tender. This will become a regular at our house.

Shrimp Linguine Alfredo

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2008
We had this for dinner on Christmas Eve and it was fantastic. I did add fresh mushroom slices when I sauteed the onions and garlic. Also threw in a splash of sherry at the very end. Wonderful and easy company dinner.

Simple Seafood Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2008
This is a wonderful and very easy soup. I made it for Christmas Eve dinner and we loved it. I couldn't find the condensed oyster stew so I just used the other two soups and also put in a small bag of crab meat chunks.

Red River Beef Stroganoff

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2008
Update: Just tried this again with better steak. This time, we found the sauce to be bland. Won't be making this again. I gave it a five because the sauce was really wonderful. I used steak from our meat market that was called "Stroganoff Steak" and it never got really tender. I simmered it in the sauce longer than called for, but it was still tough. I will try again with sirloin because the taste was great.

Rhubarb Crumble Pie

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2008
I would make it a 10 if I could. I love rhubarb and always make pies and cakes in the Spring when it is available. I have never made anything with rhubarb that either my husband or I liked better. I am going to make it for the third time this season tonight with the last of my own rhubarb. Thank you so much for a great recipe!

Patti's Mussels a la Mariniere

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2008
I live in a small midwestern town where one can never buy mussels. Yesterday I was amazed to find some in a local supermarket and immediately thought back to my 10th anniversary trip to Paris where I had mussels for dinner every night. Came to allrecipes to see how I could replicate that wonderful memory and found this recipe. It was fabulous! I did saute shallots rather than use the green onions. Also added more wine and let it reduce down before adding mussels. Served with sliced baguette to mop up the sauce. So good!

Cranberry-Orange Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2008
Oh so wonderful! I did skip the celery as it just didn't seem like it belonged in this recipe. This sauce is absolutely great! I did not put in the veggies as I was making the Roasted Garlic Cauliflower from this site. They were wonderful together. Will try the vegies in the original recipe next time. I'm going to serve this one for company next week.

Roasted Garlic Cauliflower

Really good. I followed the recipe except skipped the plastic bag part (just mixed together in the pan) and did not broil at the end. Just sprinkled with grated cheese and baked for five more minutes. So Good!

Crunchy Tossed Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2008
I made this last night and can't stop thinking about how good it was. I may make it again tonight. This will now be a family favorite! I do wish that the Nutritional info was given, however, as I fear this dressing is a calorie nightmare. I did use turkey bacon to cut back on the fat a bit and it tasted great in this recipe.

Oatmeal Waffles

We had these for brunch yesterday and they were fabulous! Easy to make and so good. My husband was skeptical when he saw the oatmeal in the batter. But after eating them he told me that he hoped that I would make these again soon. We both loved them.

Used dry onion soup mix instead of red onion. Quick, easy and economical dinner. Not fabulous, but tasty. I will make again.

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Really tasty. Be sure to line the baking pan with aluminum foil that has been sprayed with cooking spray, however, or you will be throwing away your pan afterwards.
