During this week, I came to the most famous mountain of China, which is named Huangshan Mountain. In Chinese, "Huang" means yellow. Thus, this mountain is also called the Yellow Mountain in English. Huangshan get its name because the colour of rocks which
composed it are yellow. It locates in the South of Anhui province. Even though I have lived in Anhui for nearly 25 years, it is the first time I went to Huangshan Moutain.
In the morning of Thursday, I come to Tangkou town to meet with my friends by a bus from Hefei, Anhui. Since there are a few of ancient towns in the South of the Changjiang River, we decided to go to the famous Hongcun Town at first. Hongcun was established
in Southen Song Dynasty. The ancestors was moved to this place because of fire hazard. In order to protect themselves from the fire, the ancestors decided to move to a place where had abundant water.
In the afternoon, we arrived Hongcun town. Firstly, we saw a beautiful lotus pond. The lotus were just flowering and standing in the pond peacefully. When the wind blew, the leaves of the lotus would swing with the wind. On the lotus, there was a stone bridge.
This bridge is so famous because it was used as a scenery in the movie <Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon> which directed by An Lee. Walked through this stone bridge, the buildings and life of Hongcun were presented for us. The deep winding alleys
always made us lost the direction. The town was kept the ancient appearance, no morden vehicles could come into it except for the electro motor. All the things used for life should be brought by human, so the price of the daily necessicities were little higher
than the outside.
There is a little lake in Hongcun which named Moon Palus. It get this name because it looks like a half moon. In the dusk, the sky turned into dark blue, the white wall and the blue bricks houses were reflected into the Moon Palus. In the opposite of us, there
was a teahouse, when the sun set down, the red lantern of the teahouse would be lighted. These lanterns were also reflected into the Moon Palus, which made the town so beautiful and like a peaceful dream.
