Angel Food Cake with Toasted Almonds

Take a box of Angel Food Cake mix (just the contents of the box, no need to follow the directions on the box), & combine it with a 20 ounce can of crushed pineapple in its own juice. (No need to use a mixer, just stir it with a spoon) When you do this, something magical happens. The mixture starts to froth & it turns into an amazingly airy, fluffy bowl of deliciousness right before your eyes. Once it's all mixed up,grease and simply pour it into a 9 x 13 cake pan & bake 350 for 30 minutes

Mom's Gourmet Grilled Cheese Sandwich

I added a lice of sweet onion and slice of tomato and baked in oven. Was better than good....was stupendous!

Broiled Grapefruit

Have been broiling grapefruit for years and love it. This sounds like a better way than how I did it. I always just used serated knife to section, sprinkled a little sugar and lots of cinnamon and broiled for a couple minutes. Will do it this way in future and try adding a dab of butter. Broiled graperuit is truly wonderful!

Truly Delicious Brussels Sprouts

Went to find out how long to steam brussel sprouts and found this recipe. Followed it to a tea! Never enjoyed brussel sprouts so much! Thought I was eating dessert! Absoulutely delicious and so easy! Thank you again Chef John. Have been making the "Just chicken and Mushroom" recipe for months! We have it at least 4 times a month! You are the man!

Adrienne's Cucumber Salad

Have made this for years. Best to slice cucumbers and onions and cover with salt water and refridge for a couple hours. Drain well and then add vinegar, sugar and water. Cucumbers and onions will be yummy crisp!

Chef John's Chicken and Mushrooms

This is a 10 star! We make this at least 4 times a month...so easy and so delicious. The key is to not change anything...follow recipe exactly! I adore good steak but this beats it! Never thought chicken breasts could be so moist and tender and the mushrooms just complete it! Sara Petty...we love you John!
