About this Cook
I love cooking! I find it relaxing and fun. Because I have a very active life and a busy schedule, a prefer cooking quick, simple and healthy foods. I always look at nutrition facts of the foods I buy to make sure they are of good quality. My long time cooking inspiration is my mom, who taught my sisters and I how to prepare tasty and healthy meals, without spending too much time in the kitchen.
My favorite things to cook
All sorts of salads prepared with fresh ingredients, sea-foods, beef, lamb, and vegetarian foods. Recently, I tried molecular cuisine: the results are fun and sophisticated!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Stuffed turkey served with our delicious traditional cranberry sauce. It's a holidays classic that kids love, and it brings back good memories for many of us. The cranberry sauce recipe I use comes from my grand mother.
My cooking triumphs
Spicy scallops served with a fruity off-dry Riesling from Washington State.
My cooking tragedies
Bread is not something I am good at doing!
