Perfect. Exactly as it is, no changes. Highly recommend. Will make this again. Meat only marinated for about 4hrs.

Egg Noodles

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2015
Very tasty noodles! Can't beat homemade. I used olive oil instead of butter and used an extra egg, less milk to make up for the extra egg. Taste was divine. By hand I couldn't roll them thin enough, so they were pretty thick once cooked. I'd get a pasta machine if I had enough self control to not eat theses noodles daily. ;) I'll make them again. Hubby and kids lapped them up.

Chocolate Crinkles II

Made them exactly to recipe. They we're gone in no time! The melon baller method doesn't work- it gets clogged up with dough too fast. I use a spoon and coat my hands with Pam spray. They turned out gorgeous.

Butterscotch Oatmeal

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2014
Delicious oatmeal. I cut down the sugar to 1/4 cup and added cinnamon and a pinch of nutmeg. I also threw in a handful of dried cherries at the beginning, so they cooked up soft. It didn't even need the butter.

Baked Flan

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2014
I ran out of cream and so I used 1,5 cup evaporated milk and 1,5 cups whole milk instead, for the 3 cups of dairy. It worked perfectly! I have learnt that for a silky smooth creme, it is better not to beat the custard mixture on too high for long. Rather use a low speed on the hand mixer until well mixed. Over mixing causes bubbles and that makes the creme spongy once baked. This recipe was a spectacular success!!! Thank you.

Divine! Huge hit in our family. I double up the recipe with no problems to the outcome. I have added all sort of fruit before and after and it is always delicious.

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2014
Divine!!! Love this recipe. I leave out the milk though, because it makes it too soft and I use brown sugar instead of white. This is a keeper. I have made it many times and it works out perfectly every time. If it does crack, then I cover the cake with fruit or ganache or caramel.

Chef John's Creme Caramel

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2014
Flavour was fantastic. I might have over-whipped the custard, because it was very airy and full of volume. So it filled 5 ramekins instead of 4. However, they were fully cooked by 35 mins and the top frothy part had gone chewy and looked unappealing. I scraped it off and then the flavour and texture underneath were heavenly. The individual desserts once upended from the small ramekins was only about 1/2 inch thick. I'll try it again with less beating next time. Caramel was easy and perfect.

Sour Cream Cupcakes

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2014
Worked really well and tasted fabulous. I never use Crisco... Instead I substituted with 1/4 cup natural apple sauce and 2 Tbs milk. I also added 1/4 tsp of salt. This made 33 mini cupcakes, which were ready in 13 minutes. This is my new run to cupcake recipe. :)

Quick and Easy Yorkshire Pudding

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2014
Have made these many times. Never have any left overs. If I run out if time I don't refrigerate the batter, but they still turn out beautiful. They are buttery, crunchy on the outside and soft inside. A wonderful add on to any meal.

Heavenly Shortbread

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2014
Great tasting cookies. The only thing that worried me after following the directions exactly was that the baked cookies lost some of their shape. I covered them with icing to hide the imperfections, but am hunting for a cookie recipe that maintains exact shape once baked. The taste was divine though.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2014
Very good. I did make a few changes. I fried up half a pack of finely chopped bacon and then added the vegetables in. I used left over pulled pork instead of ham and that was divine! I also left out the roux. I like the soup clear and it wasn't heavy that way.
