Baked Ziti with Sausage
I usually add mushrooms and spinach to the sausage. I also cook the onion and seasonings with the sausage mixture. I use whole wheat pasta and fat free ricotta. I don't always layer it either, I just mix it all together and top with cheese.

Hamburger Steak with Onions and Gravy
This was excellent!! I made very little changes. I added mushrooms with the onions. and I subbed 3/4 cup of red wine for the small amount of sherry. I was also using double the amount of meat, so I added a total of 1 1/2 cups broth. I left out the seasoned salt. Everyone loved this dish! Simmering the meat in the gravy makes it so tender! Excellent with mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts.

Chicken Pot Pie IX
I haven't made a good chicken pot pie in ages, but this was wonderful. I boiled the veggies in broth instead of water, then saved that broth for the rioux. I didn't really measure the broth or milk when making the rioux. I used fresh thyme. For the chicken I used some leftover roasted thigh meat I had. I also added some canned corn, and used the 'butter flaky pie crust' recipe for the crust. My tip: skip the bottom crust and only do the top. The bottom crust is always soggy, and it seems like I always have too much crust. It doesn't cut into perfect pie slices but I prefer it this way. I do this with fruit pies too.
