Chocolate Cheesecake III

Sooo yummy! This is an extremely rich dessert but very very good (esp. if you like dark chocolate). I made it for a dinner party and everyone complimented me. I thought it might need a little something extra, so after it cooled, I removed the cake from the springform pan and put sliced strawberries all over the top. I also made a chocolate ganache (also on here-- from Ingrid Vogel) and drizzeled it over the berries and down the sides of the cake, using about half of the ganache. It looked and tasted wonderful! Thanks for the recipe!

Chicken Supreme IV

This recipe has potential. The cheese/egg/bread crumb breading was delicious and the chicken turned out very very tender. However, I would recommend using a drier wine (like chardonnay or other white) instead of white zin as the sauce was a bit too sweet. Or I might mix half wine with half chicken broth. I also added a lot of garlic and extra mushrooms which helped. I didn't add the full 3 cups of cheese as I thought that was excessive. I would also recommend adding a bit of cornstarch or cooking the mushroom/wine sauce for 10-15 minutes to let it thicken, and possibly adding some chicken boullion for flavor.

Restaurant-Quality Baked Potato Soup

This has 5 star potential with some modifications... less onion (maybe 1 cup instead of 2), and less potatoe flakes/cornstarch as the soup was a bit too thick. Also, I used evaporated skim milk instead of the cream to reduce the fat content, but this made the soup a touch too sweet. Next time I will just add 2% milk as the added thickness was not necessary.

Six Can Chicken Tortilla Soup

I'm not sure what happened with this recipe. It came out the color of dirty dishwater, which probably affected my opinion. I also accidentally bought the "extra hot" tomatoes with green chiles and this made it extremely spicy (and I like spicy foods). Otherwise, I liked the addition of corn, but thought the recipe needed more tomato flavor. Also, I highly recommend using freshly cooked chicken instead of canned.
