I tweaked a bit and the family thought it was great: Cut/trim beef cubes-shake in bag with flour/salt. saute beef in olive oil; put beef in slow cooker then saute onions, red wine, progresso french onion soup; put cut potatoes, carrots and soup, etc. in slow cooker on high for 30 min - then low for 9 hours. 1/2 hour before, add mushrooms and stir. when done-keep on warm and combine 12 oz sour cream with a 1/4 cup flour/cold water then pour in and stir. Cook broad noodles, when done, add 1/2 stick butter. Serve stroganoff over buttered noodles.
