Sunshine Toast

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2014
Love this idea, as it goes by many names...I was taught it as "The Pirate's Eye". The different ways people prepare it; with extra butter, without, type of bread, etc... depends on what you have available. One little twist that I started doing to this is adding some shredded cheese and bacon bits on top. Delicious!

Grandad's Pancakes

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2014
This is the only recipe I use for pancakes now. It is the same way my grandma used to make them and it took my sister and I forever to find the recipe. Thanks so much for posting this! My grandma used to make them in the cast iron skillet though and Grandpa would use the dark corn syrup. Either way, these are awesome!

Best Spinach Dip Ever

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2013
This is the best spinach dip ever! I was in the middle of making it and realized I didn't have the soup mix so I had no choice but to improvise. All I did in place of the soup mix was add a bit of garlic powder and onion powder (I think). It still turned out amazing! My mother in law who has hated me forever even loved it and complimented me on the dip!

Pancakes

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2013
This is a quick basic recipe. I don't normally have self rising flour so I add baking powder to the flour so the pancakes are not flat. (You add 1tsp per 1 cup of flour, or more if you want thicker pancakes). Then I add some sugar and vanilla extract. My whole family loves them and it is still a pretty basic recipe. I add a bit more flour to all of it to compensate for the extra liquids and keep it thick.

Kielbasa and Veggies

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2012
I thought this was awesome, however, I did make a few changes. I used the Frozen Veggies that you can steam in the bag, still frozen, Frozen hash brown potatoes, and possibly more cheese than it called for. I also changed up the butter, using some melted butter and two small spoonfuls and added chopped onion. I was very skeptical, but it came about great! My husband loved it too, his only request was more cheese. Definitely adding this to my list...it's a keeper!

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2012
Perfect! This was the exact pancake I was looking for! They came out so fluffy and it is such a basic recipe, so it leaves plenty of room to play around and have fun with it. But, they are absolutely delicious just the way it is!

Green Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2012
Definitely a good starter recipe! I usually double the amount of green beans, mix in half the can of fried onions and top with the other half. I also mix in some shredded, sharp cheddar cheese. Have gotten many compliments on it!

BLT Pizza

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2012
I love BLT Pizza, but I had to make two small changes to this recipe in order to get it the way I remember. I use a pound of bacon and bake the pizza dough topped with mozzarella cheese and bacon first. Then top it with the mayo/lettuce mix and tomato slices afterwards.
