Sesame Pasta Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2012
Next time I make this dish I'll tweak it by increasing the sauce and green onions and instead of using ground ginger, I'll use freshly sliced ginger and allow that to marinate in the sauce then strain it out later.

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2012
This was such a good recipe. It was the best item at a potluck picnic this summer. Everyone loved it. I purchased all the ingredients at a Canadian Superstore. I used Splenda brown sugar instead of raw brown sugar because the Cattle Boys BBQ sauce already had enough sugar in it. I chose the PC Blue Menu Italian dressing. Instead of using buns, I used PC Blue Menu Naan bread heated with a little olive oil on the stove. Warning: if you shred your chicken super fine, it ends up absorbing away most of the sauce.

Slow Cooker Pumpkin Steel Cut Oats

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2012
I botched up this recipe badly. Don't do what I did: Firstly, this was too sugary (we didn't have Splenda brown sugar on hand and used raw brown sugar). My spouse and I both found that the high sugar content in our breakfast servings at 7:30am made us crash by 10am and binge on doughnuts and other sugary junk food at our respective work places. I later found Splenda brown sugar at a Canadian Superstore in the baking aisle. I also don't recommend using ED's pumpkin pie filling - I used that because that's all we had on hand. Use plain pumpkin otherwise you will over-spice like I did, since the pumpkin pie filling was already spiced. Sometimes our only purpose in life is to serve as a warning for others...

Becel® Holiday Butternut Squash with Apple and Cranberries

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2012
Super tasty! I hate eating my vegetables, but this was so good. We doubled the cinnamon and nutmeg, and added more apple and cranberries. To speed up the cooking time, we microwaved the squash alone then put everything into the oven, and it was all ready in 20 minutes.
