What a great recipe! I used self rising flour instead of all purpose and omitted the salt and baking soda. 5 stars! Thanks!

Summer Squash Casserole with Nuts

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2007
Wonderful! Used squash from our garden so it was was Fresh. I used 1/2 cup of lite sour cream instead of mayo and I used more cheese. It was fantastic!! The only improvements my husband suggested was more bread crumbs and even MORE cheese. Thanks for the great recipe!

Pecan Pie III

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2006
I added the tblsp of flour and 1/2 cup of butter as recommended and even my 72 mother said this one is a keeper and I agree! After baking the pie shell, I covered the edge of the pie with foil so it wouldn't burn. Turned out perfectly set - not runny at all. Will definately be sitting on my dining table this Thursday (Thanks Giving)!!

Breakfast Kolaches

Fantastic!!! I had never had these before, but seeing all the rave reviews I just had to try them. They are just WONDERFUL! I ate 3 of them before the second batch even came out of the oven. I made half with the sausages and cheese and half with an apple filling and crumble topping. YUM! Thanks for the great recipe.

Great recipe! I followed previous reviewers and omitted the milk. I make several these at a time and freeze them. They thaw and bake beautifully!!

Tantalizingly Tangy Meatloaf

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2006
Super recipe! I substitute crushed pineapple in place of preserves and that keeps it from being too sweet. This is my new meatloaf recipe. :-)

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2006
Wonderful recipe!! I didn't have buttermilk so I used whole milk instead. And, I cut the sugar to 1/2 cup. This is the best corn bread recipe I've ever tried. Will definately add to my recipe box!

Sausage Balls II

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2005
Great recipe! I can't keep my husband away from them. Couple of tips I found useful...mix the ingredients in a food processor! I have never had a problem with dryness and I think it is because the processor does a much better job mixing the ingredients and getting moisture into the bisquick that I could. Also, they normally take 20 - 25 minutes to cook. Thanks for the great recipe!

Brown Family's Favorite Pumpkin Pie

This pie was just a little too odd with the beaten egg whites for me. It was better the next day, but still will not be a recipe I make again. thanks anyway.

Excellent!!! 1,110 people can't be wrong! I made this when we had surprise guests for supper. It was easy and yummy! There was more than enough to feed everyone with left overs for a couple of days! This recipe is now one of my staples. Thanks so much!

Skillet Chops with Mushroom Gravy

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2005
I did not care for this recipe. The parmesan cheese tastes too strange with the pork chops and cream of mushroom soup. My family did not like it. Will not make again.

Bella's Rosemary Red Potatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2005
Good recipe, but entirely too much oil used in it! Even my husband, who loves everything greasy complained the potatoes were swimming in oil. Cut the oil and butter by at least half and it is a really good recipe.

Yellow Squash Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2005
This was a good 'middle of the road' recipe for me. It was fairly simple to make and no one complained about it. But, it wasn't as creamy as I had hoped for and it did not reheat well. Wasn't a bad recipe, but I will keep looking for a recipe that is more my taste. Thanks.

Easy Meatloaf

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2004
Very good and easy recipe. You can't mess it up! My only two complaints were that the meatloaf was a little bland and the sauce was a little too sweet for my taste. Next time I'll add a little worsteshire sauce to the loaf and cut the brown sugar in the sauce. Thanks for the recipe!

Scrumptious Sweet Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2003
Fantastic recipe!! This was the first time I had ever made Sweet Potato casserole and I had the shadow of my mother-in-law's 'world famous' recipe hovering over me. I won't say this was better than her's, but was certainly just as good! This one is going in my personal collection of 'keeper' recipes!
