Banana Sour Cream Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2014
I was a bit sceptical of this recipe as I have made banana bread before and they have always turned out terrible. But I had sour cream and bananas to use up so I thought i'd give it one last try. I'm so glad I did. This turned out wonderfully well. I followed the recipe exactly except I only used 5 bananas (I only had 5 on hand) and 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon ( I don't like strong cinnamon tastes). I did do a double take when i saw the temperature setting, 300 seemed a bit low but I set it at that anyway, and yep they rose well. I had to leave them in there about 10 mimutes longer than stated though. They looked fantastic when I took them out of the oven and smelt great. I was getting ready for the dissapointing taste but no, it tasted great too. I still can't believe I have found a banana bread recipe I like and turned out so well. Thank you Esther for the fantastic recipe!

Indian-Style Rice with Cashews, Raisins and Turmeric

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2014
I really enjoyed this rice dish, it was easy to make and tasty. I served it with carrots and broccoli, and the 'Spicy Garlic Lime Chicken' recipe I found on here which was also very tasty,

Spicy Garlic Lime Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2014
I made this for dinner tonight. I did think it might be too spicy for my 3 year old but it wasn't. It had a nice taste and a subtle kick without being spicy. Will make again.

Individual Spinach & Ricotta Lasagna's

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2014
This lasagne was very good, I made 5 individual portions instead of one large one. We are just 2 adults & 1 child so this way I used 3 and put 2 in the freezer for another day. I find this way we are not eating it for a week. The only changes I made to the recipe was to use 2 cups of pasta sauce instead of 1, there just wasn't enough in 1 cup, and I used 1/2 pack of frozen chopped spinach instead of fresh. Great recipe though, will make again.

Sweet Potato, Carrot, Apple, and Red Lentil Soup

Love this soup! Extremely tasty and warming for the winter. I only put in 1/4 tsp of Chilli powder so my 3 year old will eat it. This will definitely be a staple in my house this winter!

Carrot and Coriander Soup II

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2013
I thought this soup was really tasty to say it only has 4 ingredients in it. I did use 6 carrots instead of 4 as some of the other reviews said it was a bit watery and it was just the right consistency. Will definitely be making again.

White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake

Reviewed: May 30, 2013
It wasn't so much the taste I didn't like it was the texture. It was like eating a solid block of flavoured cream cheese. Far too thick for my liking, I couldn't eat it.

Fresh Pea Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2012
Very impressed with this soup. I thought it would be bland but it was very tasty. I did use vegetable broth instead of water and didn't strain the peas, just put in the blender and then straight back into the saucepan. The only thing I would change next time is the amount of water/broth added. I found although the soup tasted great, it was a bit watery for me, so will not add so much next time.

Fried Rice

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2012
Tasted OK but found it a bit bland, when I added the egg the rice did go mushy so next time I try this recipe I will take the advice of other reviewers and cook the egg separately first and add to the rice after.
