Bessy's Zesty Grilled Garlic-Herb Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2012
It was definitely flavorful, and sweet. I didn't have saffron on hand so I didn't use it; basically I just used whatever herbs and spices I had (basil, thyme, cayenne, oregano, parsley) and I added a little paprika too. It tastes good, mmm.. However, I think the recipe calls for too much oil. Still very good, though.

Basil Chicken Strips

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2012
The chicken turned out kind of dry, but it was very easy to make an took little time. I added garlic for flavor and also used fresh basil. However the chicken stuck to the pan, and I had to add more butter.

Chocolate Cupcakes

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2012
The cake is very moist and tastes good, but I think it needs more chocolate. Next time I'm going to put some chocolate chips in and put in a little more cocoa powder. But it turned out really great, and when I added buttercream frosting and some sprinkles-mmmmm so good.

Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2012
I like this frosting, but even when I cut it in half it made a TON. I also cut down a little on the confectioners' sugar, and it still turned out great. I also put in a little more vanilla extract, because a little vanilla never hurt anybody. When I refrigerated my frosted cupcakes, the frosting hardened a little and still tasted really good. Next time I'm going to use some food coloring too. (Also, it turns out as a really pretty creamy color!)

Basic Pasta

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2012
It tastes really good, I also put in a pinch of salt in the water I boiled the pasta in and I think that made it taste better. I also put in about a tablespoon of olive oil in the pasta. I let it rest for about 45 minutes, and it was not hard at all to roll out, but since I'm not very experienced with making pasta, it was hard getting it to the perfect thickness. I think a millimeter or so is a good thickness; mine were a bit too thick.
