Rosenmunnar

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2009
I was looking for a linzer-type recipe and decided to make these with my Christmas assortment last year. They were by far the favorite! Used Raspberry jam and added 1/2 tsp vanilla to batter. So simple and delicious. I had to make a second batch to take home to the family - the first batch was devoured quickly! I'm planning on taking these to my cookie exchange this year. Enjoy!

Sausage Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2007
This was great! My mother-in-law loved it even better than her own breakfast casserole! I couldn't find sage-flavored sausage, so I used original. I followed all the ingredients to a 'T'. I assembled the casserole the night before and then just popped it in the oven in the morning. It was great - I had no left-overs! Definitely rely on this recipe for your holiday company.

Mushroom Pork Chops

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2007
Sorry - I did not care for this recipe. I was looking for a good pork chop recipe as opposed to the standard shake-n-bake fare. The meat was like rubber and the sauce was very bland. I wound up tossing the leftovers since no one would eat them!

Cabbage Roll Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2007
This was very good. Made it exactly as instructed. My husband said that it had the same exact flavor as the stuffed cabbage rolls. Be advised - it does need a long time to cook (1.5 hours), so prep it and pop it in the oven well in advance. Serve with some nice crusty Italian bread. Great comfort food.

Chicken Enchiladas II

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2007
Awesome recipe! Made it exactly as instructed. Didn't have enough filling for 6 tortilla shells, though. Next time, I'll shred the chicken and double the sauce. Definitely give this tasty recipe a try!

Slow Cooker Kielbasa Stew

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2005
This came out awful! When I tried to place everything in the crock pot, the quantity was too much. I had to remove some of the potatoes (which I reduced to 1/2 lb to begin with) and some of the sausage to close the lid. Once it cooked on low all day, it was a sloppy mess! You couldn't tell whether you were eating sauerkraut, potatoes, or apples. We wound up pitching whatever was left. Sorry!

Awesome and Easy Creamy Corn Casserole

Reviewed: May 20, 2005
This recipe is AWESOME! It is just like the little scoop that you get from a mexican restaurant. It was a big hit with my hubby. I am going to make it again this weekend for a BBQ I am attending. It is SO easy and tasty! Thanks!

Sauerkraut Sausage Balls

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2004
I made these for a work party for the holidays and received rave reviews. I gave this recipe 4 stars because it is SO time consuming. I made these over a 2-day period. Also, I wouldn't make them again without a deep-fryer. I used a deep pan on the top of the stove and got splashed with the hot oil quite a bit. Overall - very tasty!

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2004
If it were possible to give this recipe 6 stars, I would! This is by far the best chocolate chip cookie recipe ever! The secret ingredient of the instant pudding really makes them extraordinary. I used the suggestions from previous reviews and added 1/4 cup sugar and 1/4 tsp salt. I also did half semi-sweet chips and half milk chocolate chips. Fabulous! This will be my staple chocolate chip cookie recipe from now on! Thanks Debbi!

Deep Dish Brownies

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2004
I'm sorry that I had to rate this so low, but I actually had to throw these out. I followed some reviews by omitting an egg and the baking powder and adding baking soda. I also added the peanut butter swirl. I recommend you follow the recipe as is since mine was a bust by using the added comments. Good luck with it!
