Watercress, Melon and Almond Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2004
I made this for a dinner party and everyone loved it. The lime dressing is very light and a perfect compliment to the melon and watercress!

Amish Meatloaf

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2010
My family loved this meatloaf, and my son even ate the leftovers (he never eats leftovers!). I made according to the recipe, except I sauteed the onions ahead and made half the top sauce. Terrific!

Baked Mango-Ginger Swordfish

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2008
My husband and I didn't care for this recipe at all. I tried it because I had the ingredients on hand. I usually grill swordfish, so maybe we didn't like it because it was baked. We didn't even finish it--a waste of an expensive fish.

Strawberry Chocolate Mousse Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2007
A big hit! I used Lite Cool Whip instead of heavy cream and sugar. A lighter version that was awesome.

Beef Burgundy I

I was disappointed in this recipe. Definitely needs to be thickened quite a bit. It just wasn't that flavorful.

Buttery Lemon Spinach

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2009
Though I added a little too much garlic for my family's taste, I thought this was great!

Honey Mustard Grilled Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2007
So easy and great flavor. I used Miracle Whip instead of mayo, and used only half the amount. Enjoyed by all!

Asian Beef Skewers

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2004
I doubled the marinade, used 3/4 of it to marinade a larger flank steak. The remainder I tossed with raw shrimp for 15 minutes, then grilled them also. What a hit--everything was devoured!

Pear and Pomegranate Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2012
Make sure you buy your pears a few days in advance to allow them to ripen (place in a brown paper bag).

Chicken Vegetable Barley Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2010
This recipe is a great start for a hearty winter soup. I used white wine & herb chicken broth for a bit more flavor. Didn't use any butter, but when serving covered top with fresh baby spinach and sprinkled the almonds on top. The spinach cooks when stirred into the soup. Additions make it a 5 star recipe.

Sweet and Crunchy Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2010
Easy recipe. Added chicken to it for a great summer meal and used broccoli slaw instead of coleslaw mix. I think in the future I will try cutting back on the oil. My family enjoyed and have had good reviews at summer parties.

Pumpkin Crunch Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2013
A Thanksgiving hit! Only changes I made was not using all the cake mix (probably used 2/3) and using real butter.

Broccoli with Garlic Butter and Cashews

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2013
Made this for a pot-luck dinner. First time, the butter separated, so I made it again very carefully. It happened again. Still tasted great and had great reviews. I refrigerated the first batch of sauce, and used it on microwaved broccoli and cauliflower. Great flavor!

Honey Mustard Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2013
Needed a quick dinner when getting home from work. Didn't marinate, added the curry powder to the honey, mustard & jam, put in a plastic bag with pounded chicken breasts to coat, then grilled. Turned out great!

Orange, Honey and Soy Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2013
My family did not care for this, although I loved the sauce. Chicken was cooked way too long and was fairly dried out, despite all the sauce.

Honey Cupcakes with Strawberries

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2013
This would be more appropriately named "honey shortcake". Flavor was great and sweet enough to not sweeten the whipped cream at all. Next time, I will serve it with sliced strawberries.

Marinated for about an hour. Disappointed that it was not more flavorful. Chicken was moist.

Quick and easy! I doubled the lemon extract and added some lemon zest. Very lemony, which is what we like!

Chicken Enchiladas I

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2009
I made a few adjustments. Added salsa instead of the tomatoes and water, and green chiles in place of the green pepper. Also added black olives. Will definitely make this again.
