Oklahoma Indian Tacos

I wish there was a place to ask questions without posting a rating. I've never heard of ranch style beans - what kind of beans are they? Black beans or baked beans? This recipe sounds delicious.

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

I have made this several times, although I make it on the stovetop instead of the slow cooker. I don't like chunks of tomato so I use a can of crushed tomatoes instead of the mashed whole peeled tomatoes. I combine all of the ingrediates and cook on the stove for approx 30-45 minutes. The tortilla strips are very good with the soup (a pizza cutter is easy to use for cutting the strips.) When I haven't had time to make my own, I have used hearty (thick) bagged tortilla chips, which work well also.

Beef Stew VI

I made a double batch of this for a sledding party yesterday and everyone commented they thought it was great. I added extra cornstarch because I like a thicker gravy, but all other ingredients were the same. I cooked the stew on the stove until it was done and then moved it to a crock pot to keeep it warm until we were ready to eat.

Parmesan Pork Tenderloin

This is a good recipe that I will make again. I rated it as average (3 stars) because I felt it was too salty as written. The salt to parmesan/bread crumb ratio seems out of balance for my taste. Next time I will reduce the salt by 1/2. The veggies were very good cooked in the pan after the meat.

Maria's Rice

A very good, simple recipe. I will definitely be making this again. The only problem I had was that the top layer of rice got well done and the edges were crispy. I didn't see anyone else mention a problem with the cooking time, so I may have to check my oven temp or it could possibly be the cook. :) I might try lowering the temp to 400 next time.

Delicious! I made this EXACTLY as written. At first I thought the 9x13 pan would be too big because it seemed like the batter was a thin layer. But it fluffed up while it baked and was perfect.

Simple Hamburger Stroganoff

This is very easy to make and very creamy. For me, the cream chesse taste was a little too overpowering. I'm not sure if I will make it again, but I liked trying a new recipe. Jessica, thank you for sharing one of your family favorites.

French Toast Casserole

Very easy to make - I doubled the recipe. Everyone loved it! Next time I will cut the bread up the night before to save time in the morning. I'm not sure if you can prepare the whole recipe the night before like you do for an egg strata casserole, but a little prep the night before will help get it in the oven sooner.

Golden Corn Casserole

I took this to a family gathering and was told to make this a new family tradition. I made the recipe exactly as written. I had to cook it about 20 minutes longer than called for - the dish I used may have been a smaller and deeper dish than Marcia uses. I baked it at home and brought it in a casserole carrier to a party. It was gone so fast and everyone was looking for more. Great recipe!

A-Number-1 Banana Cake

Oh my goodness!!!! This cake was awesome!! I made this for a family gathering and it got rave reviews. We ended up eating it without frosting, although it would have been good that way too. I made the batter exactly as written and I baked it in a 9x13 pan for about 45 minutes. As others had mentioned, it has more of a banana bread quality to it, but it is great as a cake. I don't know how this would turn out in a loaf pan, but it would make a great banana bread. I will definitely be making this again.

Cranberry Sauce

Wonderful! I cooked it an extra 5 minutes because cranberries were still "popping". The sauce thickened and had the consistency I was looking for after I let it sit in the refrigerator for several hours (overnight).

Very good. I added extra seasonings to both the flour and the breadcrumbs. I cooked it at the time and temp in the recipe and it was crispy and did not stick to my pan.

Tangy Slow Cooker Pork Roast

Easy Chicken Rice Casserole

This is a very basic recipe. My son, who doesn't like anything fancy, LOVED this. I added a little extra season salt and a sprinkle of onion powder. I will definitely be making this again.

Baked Whole Cauliflower

I thought this recipe was great. I made it as written. Some of the topping didn't stick to the sides of the full head of cauliflower like some other people mentioned, but it really didn't matter. I just left it in the bottom of the cassarole dish. When it was time to serve the veggie, I just scooped out some of the topping too. It didn't taste any different than the cauliflower baked with the topping on it.
