Tea Biscuits
i found this recipe a few years back. it quickly became my go-to tea biscuit recipe. i make these with my two little girls - they are absolutely wonderful fresh and warm from the oven with butter & strawberry jam. i hope my kids will carry fond memories of these tea biscuits for many years to come.

Melt In Your Mouth Blueberry Cake
i'm a relatively harsh recipe critic. but i must say - this was FANTASTIC. funny story - i spent nearly $20 on this cake (my baking supplies were horribly limited, lol). beautiful, fresh blueberries. real butter. the prettiest cake i've ever seen in my life. i took it out of the oven..proudly carried it to the cat spooked me...i jumped, and the ENTIRE cake came flying out of the dish onto the countertop, smashing into pieces. lol. i had just sterilized my counter from baking so i stood there contemplating whether we should still eat it. haha. we did. i turned it into blueberry 'crumble'. i'd make it again, ten times over, and i plan to share it with everyone i know. your mom is a genius!

Artichoke Dip I
when i order an appetizer at a restaurant, i *always* go for the artichoke dip. love love love it. this? i don't even know what to say. thankfully my kids liked it so the $15 i spent on making it didn't go to waste. it smelled wonderful while cooking. it came out looking exactly like the picture & i used the exact ingredients in the exact measurements but...blah.
