Elnora's Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2012
Very interesting, dont get me wrong, great flavor and all, but the "cobbler" part turned out soft and cakey. I loved not having to peel anything but I think it needed to be more crumbly or doughy. I won't make this recipe again, sorry!

Vanilla Ice Cream V

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2012
I would have given this icecream a 5 star but I made a lot of changes. First off, I used 2 and a 1/4 cup of half/half and heavy cream. I used 5 and 1/2 tsps of vanilla and added rasiberries, chocolate chips, and walnuts. After that it was great, but as others stated, it came out more like ice as is.

Mushroom and Spinach Ravioli with Chive Butter Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2012
Amazing! Over the years I have been trying to find good recipes, this is by far one of the best. I added garlic and more chives to the butter sauce. I also add turkey to to ravioli, which was great, but by itself, the ravioli was still great. I also used some of my mom's red pasta sauce. Thanks for the great recipe!!

Braided Easter Egg Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2012
Okay, so i wanted to make a easy bread today just for fun and it turned out great. I use about 1/4 cup more of flour, only 1 egg, 1/2 tbsp more butter, and 1 tsp more milk. I am not sure if my oven cooks faster but the bread only took 23 minutes. I also did not use the eggs on top of the bread. After I brushed the butter on top of the bread I sprinkled sugar on top for a nice twist. It turned out great.

Tart Lemon Ice Cream

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2012
Great ice cream. I needed a fast easy recipe that was ready to freeze in minutes. I was very pleased with my end result. However i use 1 cup cream, 1/2 cup half and half, and 1/2 cup skim milk. Thank for the great recipe!

Crispy Rosemary Chicken and Fries

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2012
it was good but not great. i followed some other reviews and cooked my potatoes in for the first 30 min. and the chicken for the last 30 min. i also used tenders and mushrooms. well i think i might of done something wrong but i almost started a grease fire at 375 so i reduced the heat to 350 and layed tinfoil over the pan. and another thing, my chicken did not come out crispy at all. and my potatoes were very hard still, they could have cooked another 20 mins. i liked the outcome but i think i will keep looking.

Peach-a-Berry Pie

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2012
Amazing. I used a very easy pie crust with it instead of the store bought kind. I mixed 2 1/2 cups flour and 1 tsp salt together. then i cut in 1 stick cold butter and 1/2 cup cold shortening with a blender and kichen aid mixer. it should look like pebbles. Next i put in 6-9 tbsps cold water while still beating. Kneed just enough to form two balls. Falten the balls into thick discs and wrap them up and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or longer. And that's it. Easy. Its very important to have fresh peaches and slice them thinly. To pick great peaches smell them at the store. If you can smell a strong peach smell they are fresh. I also skipped the butter and it turned out great. This recipe is a keeper.

Brazilian Lemonade

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2012
Wonderful flavor! This drink does not stay long at all. I made this for a dinner i prepared and by the end of dinner it was already a flop. I didnt even bother to put the drink through a strainer though, and it turned out fine. However if you want a slushy put a lot of ice. i only made 4 servings but i thought it made a lot more. i guess it depends on how much everyone drinks. Overall, it was great.

Turtle Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2012
This was such an easy recipe ! I never made bread before and it was a great first time. I was dissapointed by the taste though. Next time i would add honey and more sugar or salt. Anyone looking for a light and fluffy bread, this recipe might not be for you. It's not super heavy but not at all what i expected it to be like. I also used an egg wash on the shell (previous review) to make it shiny. This bread is awesome with a chesse spread or butter when warm. It's also very good with soup. I will use this recipe again.

Pillow-Soft Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2012
I made some changes so it would be a healthier roll. I cut the recipe in half to make 12 rolls. I used less water than the recipe called for and I use 1 tablespoon of each in place of all the shortening, I used butter, oil, and shortening. And instead of all purpose flour I used organic brown rice flour. either the yest wasnt working well or it was the flour because I dont think the dough rose well but they came out great anyway. I also did an egg wash and a butter sauce from a previous review. I like to eat them warm with butter. For not using regular flour I thought the rolls came out great.
