Roast. I am the queen of roast meats. Home fries - my husband adores them, Chicken Parmigiana, Fish Frys after a successful fishing trip. Soups. Cakes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Baking Christmas cookies with my mom, New Year's day Pork roast and sauerkraut, Homemade Pierogies with my grandma
My cooking triumphs
I volunteered to make Thanksgiving dinner the first year I was married, and it was a hit! Everyone was really impressed that a 19 year old newlywed could actually cook - and so well! It was really an ego booster.
My cooking tragedies
The following year for Thanksgiving, I was asked to bring the rolls, so I thought - no problem, I'll make my mom's famous Clover Leaf rolls! Ha. They literally went over like a lead balloon. For all the other cooking I had done, I had never attempted to make my own bread and hadn't a clue how long to knead it and let it rise. My pitiful rolls were nasty, yeasty, hard as a rock little devils. We went without rolls.

Bread Pudding II
Very good recipe, did not add raisins, otherwise made as written, with homemade hamburger rolls. Delicious!

Turkey Tetrazzini a la Stouffers(R)
This is my second time preparing the recipe. THis time, I forgot heavy cream, so I used 2% milk instead. *Still* fantastic! Great comfort food recipe.
