About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
Anything dessert- cookies, cake, bars, and brownies. I also love easy recipes that enhance natural flavors. Comfort food for cold Canadian winters and refreshing dishes for scorching summers.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Making Yorkshire pudding with my grandmother; watching my fiancee scarf anything I make with gusto.
My cooking triumphs
Meals that everyone requests like Burrito Pie and Chicken Brocolli Cheese Soup; Seeing people request my Christmas cookies for gifts on their wish lists.
My cooking tragedies
Cookies made with expired baking soda; tilapia cooked on a BBQ; gnocchi that turned into papier machier glue; fish soup that only a born-and-raised Indonesian could swallow with breaking into a sweat

Lemon Mustard Chicken
Prepared the recipe as directed, and it was quite flavorful. The only thing is that for me the crumbly coating seemed to fall off mostly. Next time I will put less butter in the pan and see if that helps.

Greek Pasta Salad I
The best part of this is the dressing- would be good for a lot of different pasta salads (I left out the sugar, and didn't notice the absence)! I subbed extra olives, feta, and pepper for the mushrooms. I think next time I will use green, yellow, or orange pepper for some visual interest.

Peanut Butter Bars I
Yum! I substituted the semisweet chips for dark chocolate, and it offsets the sweetness of the peanut butter mixture very well.
