About this Cook
Stay at home mom of 2 daughters and wife to a wonderful husband. We are a fun trio - love cooking and adventures.
My favorite things to cook
I love baking - it is a passion - but I am really getting into soup-making which I always avoided. Love indian food and cooking it - but somehow just never tastes as good as restaurant-style.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Baking around the holidays - and our cookie making parties. Oh and sending off my now famous Raspberry Sherry Trifle to my husbands work Christmas luncheon each year.
My cooking triumphs
Every new recipe is a triumph. I love finding a recipe and making it and having it turn out perfect. Life is too short for lousy recipes! Making baklava was pretty great - no one could believe I made it from scratch... if they only knew it was an allrecipes.com simple recipe.
My cooking tragedies
Choux Pastry in culinary school - it was my nemesis.

Swedish Meatballs II
I only made the meatballs - and placed them in another sauce recipe. However, my meatballs completely fell apart. I even added 2 eggs instead of one. It obviously was down to the milk/bread crumb mixture as I've never had that happen. Very disappointing.

Swedish Meatballs I
I usually avoid recipes with condensed soups - and was weary that this used TWO cans. But the salt levels were fine. What I was surprised at what there was no depth of flavor. Definitely something missing.

Sky High Yorkshire Pudding
Be sure to have the grease piping hot - I didn't and some came out like hockey pucks. Otherwise fab recipe.
