Jalapeno and Sausage Dip

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2010
This is an excellent dip for a party or just getting ready for a game. I like it with homemade pan fried tortilla chips. Kids loved it with the regular chips from the store. Great recipe Shigar!

German Currywurst

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2005
I really liked this one! I made some rice to go along with it. My children wanted me to add more spices next time, but I told them that I really enjoyed the flavor and sometimes it's nice to eat foods that aren't spicy! This is a great party food for the kids. Make some and watch the ball game!

Romano Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2005
Very delicious! Even my picky eaters liked it! (One of them pulled the ham out, but -- hey, at least they really liked the flavor!) I decided to bake it in the oven since I couldn't flatten my chicken out to 1/4 inch thick. Then, I was concerned that it would dry out in the oven, so I put a little water into some Cream of Mushroom soup and poured it on top of the chicken rolls. I put my seasonings on top of the soup mixture. I baked it at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.

Chili Burgers

Yummy! It was hard for me to want to put any other condiments on the burger! My advice would be to double the recipe! Everyone may want two!

BBQ Chicken Calzones

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2005
Wow, was this filling! We ate 1/2 the calzone and everyone was stuffed, including my two teenage boys! We like our food a little spicy (well, okay, more than a little spicey); so, next time, I'm going to put in more BBQ sauce. We will definitely have this one again!

Enchilada Meatballs

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2005
I used cornbread stuffing mix because that was what I had in the house. I think that next time I will use a "normal" cornbread mix. I enjoyed them greatly wrapped in a flour shell! This was a fabulously quick lunch as leftovers. We made lots of meatballs and just wrapped them in the flour shells for lunches. I bet they would be great with some enchilda sauce poured over the flour shells with cheese sprinkled on top and heated for a few minutes in the oven!

Honey Lime Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2005
I loved these! My family isn't much for wings but these were great! They were great for snacks, too. I made a ton of them and just kept them in the refrigerator. MMM...good.

Monterey Chicken with Potatoes

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2005
Very good! We had to cook ours a little longer to get the potatoes cooked. My kids actually ate this one. (Of course, they pulled the cilantro off their chicken as they ate it.) I will make this one again.

Funnel Cakes IV

Yummy! We had so much fun making this recipe together as mom and kids! We used the confectioners sugar on top. But I know cinnamon and sugar would be great too!

Delmonico Potatoes

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2005
The best! My entire family loved this recipe! It disappeared so fast. I may make it sometimes with some ham in it, so we don't have to have a meat separate from this dish. (Oh, or chicken. Yummy!)

Beef and Bean Chimichangas

My daughter's favorite recipe! She's going to put it in her own recipe box! We didn't have any "red" salsa; so, we put the green salsa in it. Boy was it yummy!

Cajun Dirty Rice

Reviewed: May 18, 2005
I love this recipe! I didn't have any beef sausage; so, I used pork sausage. Oh, and I didn't want to pay for the Cajun Rice mix. I had Chef Bromh...'s Cajun spices. I used 1 1/2 TBLS in the mixture. I was so good. We'll definitely be eating this again soon!

Golden Sweet Cornbread

We like to make this in an 8x8 square pan. It's very yummy and saves us money...we don't have to buy the box mixes at the store!

Corn Chip Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2005
This recipe is fabulous! The flavor and everything about it! It doesn't taste like a Mexican dish though. My husband put Ortega Taco Sauce on his and loved it. We didn't put the chips and dressing into the salad. I knew we'd need to use leftovers and didn't want it soggy. We just added the chips and dressing when we ate it! Great salad!

Meatloaf on the Grill

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2004
This was soooo easy! I loved it! I also added a topping during the last 5 minutes! The topping I added was: 1/3 cup ketchup, 1 TBLS Worchestershire Sauce, 2 tsp brown sugar. The family really enjoyed it too! (Oh, don't forget to make sure you have enough LP in the tank! Oops!)

Great side dish! I left the liquid in the corn. I wasn't sure that I was supposed to, but I did and it turned out great!
