Grands!® Biscuit Taco Cups

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2013
It was really easy to make the taco bowls - a nice quick substitute for fry bread or navajo tacos. I added onion. Quick and easy. Loved it. And for those that are carb conscious it's easy enough to eat out of the bowl without eating the bowl. Although who doesn't love the flaky biscuits?

Sweet and Salty Toll House® Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2013
I couldn't wait to try these. And I was right. Could have been my oven, could have been all the dry ingredients, but they were just a tad dry for my taste. I really like a moist cookie but I LOVED the sweet salty combination Because neither my husband nor myself will eat a lot of sweets, I had him take them to work - 12 guys on a SWAT security team. Randomly and spontaneously throughout the night he would hear an expression of how good the cookies were. He came back with an empty plate. I would say it's a hit and a real twist to the typical chocolate chip cookie.

Moist and Savory Stuffing

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2012
After reading all of the reviews, I decided I would add more broth - and a can of cream of mushroom soup. I threw in a little sage and used onion, celery, AND sausage. We really liked it.

Praline-Pumpkin Mousse Cornucopias

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2012
My family really enjoyed these pastries - and they were delicious! But personally, just too much work for a dessert. Definitely a "presentation" course. I will keep it in mind for when I really want to impress someone.

Best Carrot Cake Ever

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2012
I tried this recipe at the same time I tried another. I actually thought the other one, which included buttermilk would be better. I was surprised. This definitely WAS the best carrot cake ever! The brown sugar pulling the moisture out of the carrots was brilliant, and increased the moisture of the cake as well as how well it stayed together. I used large peels of carrots and did cupcakes so that I could give them away and get everyone's opinion. My husband and I try not to eat a lot of sugar. With only one exception this was the winner. It was a bit of a project getting 6 cups of shredded carrots - but I think for a big hit, it was worth it!. So delicious. I used a common cream cheese frosting found here on allrecipes.com but I used coconut oil instead of butter in ALL of the recipes. http://allrecipes.com/recipe/best-carrot-cake-ever/detail.aspx

1-Dish Chicken Parmesan

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2012
We really liked this! I used too much sauce because I accidentally poured it on the dough before. I also breaded the chicken using a milk/egg/flour and bread crumb mixture before I cooked it. And my dog stole some of the chicken - so we didn't have the appropriate ratio of dough to chicken, sauce etc. I am definitely using this recipe again, keeping my dog out of the kitchen and pouring the sauce on LAST!

Breakfast Quiches to Go

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2012
We really loved this. I used fresh kale and have since made it by adding peppers and onions and more meat - sausage and bacon - I even threw in some green chile. As a result, two packages of the rolls are not enough. I have had to make them crust - less before but that has worked too. Easy - and quick. And the filling froze really well and fresh hot quiches quite easily . . . just take the filling out of the freezer the night before!

The Best Caramel Apples

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2012
I loved these! So much easier to make than I would have guessed. I made sure to drop my apples in boiling water for a bit and dry them off really well, letting them get nice and cool before i dipped them in the caramel. I think I over cooked the caramel just a tad - I did not have a candy thermometer! But I used a knife and cut slices and it was every bit as delicious and not as messy! LOL I used Karo Light Corn Syrup, but I think i would like to try it with Karo Dark syrup.

Caramel Corn Treat Bags

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2012
I used an air popper with a half cup of popcorn. We thought the caramel corn was really good! Not too crunch but not so chewy that our jaws hurt. . . My husband and I do not eat a lot of sugar, and I really thought I would have to give most of this away at my work place or to my sister in law who lives in our basement. But no, my husband said, as he was finishing off the last of it, "Too bad this caramel corn is so $%*& good!" I am going to use this recipe as my staple caramel corn recipe, but I might use a bit less popcorn than my 1/2 cup - it was a little hard to coat all the popcorn.

Easy Weeknight Chicken Parmesan

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2012
We LOVED this. I also breaded the chicken using the milk, flour, egg and bread crumb combo thanks to the suggestion in a previous review (Colorado Trio); I used chicken breasts but sliced them into three pieces or so before I breaded. We ate this meal without the spaghetti because we stay away from too many carbs. I had plenty of chicken, we had a salad on the side and it was yummy! I didn't add anything extra to the sauce. This is going to be a regular during the school year! Easy and delicious.

Roasted Garlic Chicken Sausage Caesar Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2012
My husband and I really enjoyed this one - a nice variety from the same old grilled chicken. I also cut the sausage into smaller pieces and doubled the amount in order to make the salad more of a main dish with some substance to it.

Lamb Feta Peppers

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2012
Lamb is a bit of a unique taste, but my husband loves it so I tried these peppers. I used double the sausage and less rice. I diced the tops of the peppers and added them to the stuffing. He loved it! He said it was the best meal he has had in a long time. Next time I will take another reviewer's suggestion and use quinoa instead of rice, and will use a can or two of stewed tomatoes instead of the sauce. I had plenty of stuffing - not enough sauce or peppers, due to doubling the sausage. I did cook the peppers for a few minutes first in salt water. We like them a bit softer. This one is a Keeper!

Green Chile Spinach Quiche

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2012
I tried this for the first time at Diana's house (a fellow all recipes member) after I brought back some fresh green chile from New Mexico. It was delicious. When I got home, I made it for my husband, adding a total of 1 1/2 cups of fresh green chile. After reading plenty of reviews, I also added red and orange peppers, onions, bacon, and used half ricotta and half cottage. I also used fresh spinach cooked in some of the grease from the sausage from a local butcher. The butter I used was homemade, and I used it to cook some mushrooms which I also added. I needed to put a lot of substance into it for a healthy, FILLING, main dish. I did not use a crust and the pie came out beautifully as well as the small muffins I made and gave away. My husband LOVED it!
