About this Cook
I am a stay at home mother of 4 boys. I have been baking since i was 10 with my grandma and in the last 5 years i have taken more of an interest in it and plan on opening a bakery in my grandmothers honor.
My favorite things to cook
My fav thing to cook is cakes i know just how to make them moist without having to have the oil or the shortening in to it there are healthy ways to bake.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Every holiday season my grandma would make her million dollar fudge and i have been doing the fudge since she has passed away and i cant wait to show my daughter-in-laws how to do the same so they can do it when i die
My cooking triumphs
My first fondant cake i thought was going to be a total disaster but once i got the hang of rolling it and placing it the cake turned out great
My cooking tragedies
My son had switched out my sugar for salt and i was making cupcakes for my sons class and i went to take a bit into one and all you could taste was salt i was so mad he got grounded for a month (which really only lasted a few days)

Rolled Buttercream Fondant
This was my first fondant cake and it really didnt taste that great i was really hoping for the buttercream taste and it didnt taste like buttercream. I did like that after needing it for a while that it was very easy to use. i didnt like that it was so greasy but it did give it a great shine

Spiced Holiday Sugar Cookies
I had to add 1/4 cup more flour so the dough would hold shape And added 1 more teaspoon cinnamon. They turned out great the kids loved them and had so much fun making them with the kids!
