Filet Mignon with Rich Balsamic Glaze

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2011
Great recipe! I followed other recommendations and doubled the glaze and added a bit of brown sugar and garlic. I also seasoned the filets with a steak seasoning mix and let rest for an hour prior to cooking. I initially reduced the glaze in a separate pot while I seared the steak on all sides to seal in the juices. Then I followed the recipe pretty much as is except I reduced the time to 3 minutes on each side and finished with glaze with a pat of butter once the steaks had been removed. I served over a bed of carmelized onions. Great quick meal that tastes like it took hours to make! Will definitely make again maybe next time with a bit of blue or gorgonzola cheese.

Love this recipe! This is a new staple dish in our house. Quick, healthy and delicious. Followed the recipe to make 2 servings and added a few crushed peanuts at the end.

Truck-Stop Buttermilk Pancakes

Reviewed: May 3, 2009
My husband has never been a fan of my pancakes so I set out on a search for a new recipe. I've tried several but they never quite lived up to expectations. I actually got great reviews from the family on this one. Definitely a keeper.

These are awesome! I bbq almost every weekend during the summer and these are a staple on our menu now. I will never serve baked beans out of the can again.

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2008
I've made this recipe a couple of times. The first time, it was good but not great. This time, I seasoned the fish prior to cooking it. One complaint the first time I made it was the topping seemed to thin out too much when placed under the broiler. I followed another reviewers recommendation and added breadcrumbs to the mixture to thicken it up a little during cooking. It was great and my family loved it.

Caramelized French Toast

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2008
This is one of the best french toast recipes I've used. I boiled the water before adding to the sugar as suggested by others. I also added a little cinnamon to the egg mixture.

Goulash Supreme

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2004
I did not enjoy this recipe as is. I opted to use the tomato paste which as someone else said made it very heavy. I needed to do very serious "doctoring" in order for my husband to eat it and then it ended up tasting more like chili-mac.

Champagne Shrimp and Pasta

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2004
This recipe was excellent. I'm always looking for fabulous pasta dishes for my husband and this one fit the bill. He loved it. I only used 1/2 c of mushrooms (we're not big fans). Will definitely make this recipe again.

Caramel Apple Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2004
I was unsure how I would like this recipe, but both my husband and I found it delightful. The apples weren't too sweet and were a nice complement to the pork chop.

Angel Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2003
Excellent! I followed the recipe exactly, only I sliced the chicken breasts before baking. My husband raved about how great he thought it was. He said that it was the best chicken pasta I've ever made. I enjoyed it as well. There are defintely some strong flavors in this recipe, but they are very well matched. The only change I would make for next time would be to lightly saute' the chicken before baking it to make for a prettier presentation because the chicken has no color when served.
