Apple Butter Pie

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2008
this was pretty good. Not impressive for a stand-alone dessert but a good supporting pie.

Sugar Cream Pie I

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2008
This was super good. The thicking step took about 12 minutes. I liked that it was custard-esque without having eggs in it (my son's allergic to eggs). Great recipe. Thanks

Luscious Lemon Cheesecake

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2008
This was very good, but mine was real, real creamy to the point of making me wonder if it was done. I loved the topping. It definetly gets more lemony after sitting for a day or two.

Diane's Colcannon

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2008
Oh my goodness this was the best! I made this to go with my Guiness corned beef and soda bread. So flavorful. At first I was a littl wary of all that bacon grease going into the potatoes but man it was totally worth it.

Guinness® Corned Beef

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2008
This was excellent. I have made it in the oven as well as in the slow cooker and both turn out good if done correctly. Since I needed the oven for my soda bread I made it in the slow cooker. I also used 2 beers to cover more of the beef. I used some of the leftover beer to reduce down and made Guiness glazed carrots. Awsome meal!

Salmon Loaf

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2008
I heeded all sorts of advice on this one. I reduced the milk, added diced onion, hot sauce and plenty of spices. I served it up and was asked why are we having cat food for dinner. Needless to say not a hit with my family. Thanks anyway.

Mahogany Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2008
I don't know, I usually really enjoy Asian influnced dishes but the soy sauce was WAY overpowering. I couldn't taste the honey or molasses at all all I could taste was soy sauce. Very disappointing considering the time and ingredents used.

Cashew Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2008
THese recieved so many compliments. The nutty, buttery flavor of the cashews went so good with the sweet frosting. I incresded the amount of sour cream and used 2 cups of cashews. The only thing is these do not spread out that well so you'll need to flatten them out a little. Thanks for the recipe

Cream Puffs

These were picture perfect. My husbands favorite. I used white chocolate pudding but next time I would like to find more of a whipped cream style filling. Overall an excellent recipe. Thanks

This came out VERY watery and was pretty bla. Not really sure how to fix that. I did use red wine as suggested.

This was super good. I made mine with a pound of hamburger and added a packet of taco seasoning. I also added 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese just before serving.

Fudge Truffle Cheesecake

Wonderful. I used a chocolate grahm cracker crust and I added a layer of fresh raspberries in the middle. I topped it with raspberry sauce and white chocolate shavings. Beautiful.

White Chocolate Cheesecake with White Chocolate Brandy Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2008
oh this was soooo rich and delicious! I doubled the amount of white chocolate in the cake and did make an Oreo crust (although it didn't need it). I did not make the sauce because I wanted it to stay family friendly. Additionally I ended up having to freeze the cake and it was still perfect after it had thawed out. Thanks for the great recipe!

Chocolate-Covered Marshmallow Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2008
eh this was so so in my opinion. I did add mini-chocolate chips and I am glad I did because it was the chocolate cookie part that did not impress me, at least the chips helped. If I make again I will use butter and see if that makes a difference.

Pumpkin Apple Butter

This was good and easy to make but I would like a stronger pumpkin flavor. I think I will stick to just regular apple butter.

So good, might use a bit less peanuts next time as it was a little crumbly.
