Maple-Glazed Pork Chops

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2007
I was a little concerned that these would be weird with the brown sugar and maple syrup, but they were really good. My fiancee said they were restaurant style and unlike anything else he had as far as pork chops were. I didn't have the brown sugar become crispy like other reviewers. As soon as the pork chops were done baking, I pulled them out and spread small spoonfuls of brown sugar and it melted instantly, drizzled maple glaze and broiled. Maybe the other reviewers broiled them too long or too close to the flames??? Tried them with sauteed apples and slow cooker mashed potatoes. A wonderful combination.

Caramel Bars

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2007
These were sooo good. We had an event at our store and we got some food trays and I made these. These were by far the most thing gone. We wouldn't have had any left over but we grabbed some for ourselves before they were all gone. Super Yummy!

Carol's Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2007
I am giving this 4 stars only because my boyfriend liked it and he normally doesn't care too much for chicken salad. This for me personally had too many flavors that seemed a little too strong. I think I like the typical somewhat blander taste of a normal chicken salad. Just too strong for my taste.

White Chocolate Gorp

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2006
It was easy, but really nothing great. A few of the family members tasted it and didn't have any comments about it good or bad. Not really the rave reviews that I was thinking it might get like some of the other reviewers. Oh well...I tried

Rice Pudding in a Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2006
Not that good. The rice was still hard and had not soaked in enough flavor. Very bland. Threw out most of it. will not make again.

Pasta e Olio

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2005
Made This for my fiancee and I and we ate a whole pound of pasta by ourselves and I have been wanting more all day. I made a few changes. I used a can of drained diced tomatoes, angel hair pasta, some fresh basil, and some fresh grated pamesean cheese along with the other ingredients. This would even be good without thwe extras, I just really wanted tomatoes in it. Out of this world. Thanks..

Cinnamon Cream Syrup

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2005
This was awesome. I read the review about it not getting thick and mine was not thick in the stated time so I boiled it for a couple minutes. The longer I boiled it the thicker it got. After it set a little it was a nice thick, creamy syrup. We all enjoyed it on french toast and my mom said it was wonderful on ice cream. Just watch it when it boils and constantly whisk it as it would probably burn easily. Yum! Would love to try this on apple dumplings or apple crisp. Thanks Wanda

Easiest Peanut Butter Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2004
Was very careful with this recipe and it still came out dry and crumbly. The taste was excellent though and I received many comments on how good it was. If only it was a little creamier.

Caramel Popcorn

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2004
Very good. Everyone commented on how good this was. Got a few comments that it tasted just like store bought that kind of made me wish is was a little more homemade tasting for the work of making it. I baked for 45 mins and it was perfect. Would be better I think with nuts.

I am giving this five stars for how easy this is and tastes great, I used my blender and candy canes. Once chiled, we just broke these with our hands. Yummy...

Hot Corn Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2004
This was gooooood! I was making this as a last resort for something to bring to Christmas and I didn't have any diced tomatoes with chiles. So I used Pace Picante salsa instead. Very Very good. Next time I will add a med or Hot salsa since it was a little too mild for me but it was really easy and good. Thanks!

Tiramisu II

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2004
This was ok. I don't really like Tiramisu but I made it for someone who likes it and he didn't rave but said it was good and looked like he liked it. I used a little extra coffee. I did enjoy it even though it is not my favorite dessert. Looked great.

Peanut Butter and Banana French Toast

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2004
I absolutely love this! I have always ever since I was little, spread my pancakes and french toast with peanut butter before drenching them in syrup. So many people turn up their nose at the thought of peanut butter on these type of breakfast foods, but when I have gotten anyone to agree to try it, they have liked it more than they thought they would. This recipe is just a better version for me. I am so glad that I found it. Thanks!

Caramel Filled Chocolate Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2004
I'm sorry but I don't care for these at all. I am not sure why all the hype over these. They were a lot of work and got very dry very quickly. I was asked for the recipe so I guess that is a plus, but they were best underbaked and out of the oven. Otherwise given time to sit, thes became so blah. I also had to add some salt to the recipe to give it a little flavor because it was way to bland. That improved it a little. My family didn't care for thse much either.

German Chocolate Thumbprint Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2004
I really like these. They are moist (I didn't bake them the whole 10 mins. I baked them about 8mins.) These are a change and are great for coconut lovers. I do belive that store bought filling would be alright but the homemade is so much better. I tinkered with the idea of taking the easy way out and using the store bought and I am glad that I didn't! I ate so many of these! I think I might drizzle a little melted chocolate across the tops of these to fancy them up a little. Otherwise great!

Irish Cream Truffle Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2004
I really like this fudge! I didn't think mine would set up. It took about 3 hrs. as opposed to the 1-2hrs stated. It is very good and with time, will probably be better (if there is any left to be able to tell by then) I opted not to use the nuts as I wanted a creamy fudge. Made half a batch and used the 8x8" pan. I would like it thicker though unlike many reviewers so I would use a smaller pan if making half a batch next time. I can't wait to try Amaretto in this fudge.

Homemade Irish Cream Liqueur

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2004
Not really what I was looking for. The fincee and I just thought it was ok. On the plus side, it is very good blended with ice cream, milk, and a little bit of choc syrup. I didn't measure, just made the shake to my liking. I think I will try another recipe.

Neiman Marcus Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2004
I love these cookies! I took the idea of adding the crushed espresso (I use instant coffee) and add it to other cookies as well. Very Good. A previous review said that you have to eat them in three days as the texture changes....Yours last 3 days? I am lucky if any are left the second day!
