Coconut Ice Cream

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2008
Very good. Though I think it really could use some pineapple and it would be that much better! Easy recipe. I like that it has no eggs and no cooking. Cream of Coconut is very very thick. If what you have is thin, it is not the right stuff. You will ruin your recipe if you use the wrong stuff...

Parmesan Garlic Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2008
Less is more for me. There are too many different seasonings on this bread. Covers the garlic taste. I would rather go with a simpler recipe.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2008
These are good for a chocolate peanut butter fix. They don't taste like a reese's but they are good in their own way. Easy to make. Hard to wait for them to be set up before eating! I did make the peanut butter mixture into little discs that would go right over the top of the bottom layer of chocolate. Made for an even layer of peanut butter and chocolate in each bite.

Five-Cheese Stuffed Shells

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2008
I liked it. Substituted all ricotta for the cottage cheese because I hate it. Followed the rest as is and was very good.

Burger or Hot Dog Buns

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2008
These were my first attempt at making bread. They were pretty easy. I had to guess at the temp of the milk because I couln't find my thermometer, but they came out pretty good. They tasted so much like the frozen Rhodes bread dough from the store, I was hoping for a different taste.

Cheese Straws

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2008
These were ok. I guess not really my thing. They reminded me of goldfish crackers. Same taste and less work to get a bag of goldfish.

Chicago-Style Hot Dog

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2008
I live in Chicago & eat Chicago dogs all the time. Don't worry about not finding the sport peppers if you are in a different area, I think most people pick them off anyways cause they are spicy. Also, most hot dog stands here use Vienna hot dogs that should be in stores. They have a nice skin with a snap. They make for the best hot dogs.

Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2008
To make it extra crispy and super yummy, bake it in the oven until golden. Butter bread as usual and flip once one side is brown in order to brown the next. It may take a little while longer, but it is well worth it! I combine cheeses American and a little shredded cheddar or American and swiss. Play around with your choices.

Baked Dijon Salmon

Reviewed: Feb. 29, 2008
Made this for my fiancee. He said he would not care if I never made it again. I followed the recipe and also tried it on chicken. Maybe it was something I used, but the taste was just not right. Sorry.

Party Pinwheels

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2007
For how simple these really are they are very good. The chopping is a little time consuming, but if you roll these really tight and refrigerate them, they make a wonderful presentation. I tried both reg ranch and fiesta ranch and I definately liked the fiesta better. The reg ranch was a little boring, but I added ham to some and the reg ranch was much better with the ham. I can't tell which my guests liked better....Thanks for a great recipe.

No Bake Peanut Butter Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2007
Very good and easy. I had bought a 12oz cool whip instead of a 16 oz and I actually think it worked out better than a larger one would have. Very good. Can't tell if I like it better frozen or just refrigerated??? Definately mix in some chopped up reese's peanut butter cups.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2007
Very good cookie recipe. I have so many favorite chocolate chip cookie recipes but this is right up there in the top 5. I didn't have a 1/4 c measurer handy so I used an ice cream scoop and I came out with 17 and the recipe stated they made 18 so it was pretty close. The cookies are big and wonderful and makes a great base recipe that would be fun to add some other things in to i.e. M&M's, oats, peanut butter...oh if only I had a bakery....
