I chose this recipe because it only required butter and not shortening. I like the fact that it required only a few simple ingredients. My only challenge was in rolling out the dough. After one hour in the fridge the dough was still sticky so I had to leave it in for another hour and add quite a bit of flour to the dough to be able to roll it out and cut out the shapes. That being said, with those two minor fixes, they turned out delicious. Not overly sweet so they are better iced. My son who's four loved decorating them. All in all a great sugar cookie recipe.
