Roquefort Pear Salad

Best Beef Stroganoff

I thought this recipe was great! The wine and the sour cream made for a delicious combination. I use and inexpensive Cabernet Sauvignon and my sauce was not purple as other people have mentioned. I am thinking they may have used a Merlot which definitely has that more intense color. I ended up using venison instead of beef and the flavor was fantastic. This is an outstanding recipe and it doesn't use any yucky condensed mushrrom soup! Try it!!!

Chicken Pot Pie II

I love this recipe because you can make it as complicated or as simple as you want to. On nights where I am in a rush, I use frozen veggies and pick up an alreaady roasted chicken from the deli department at my grocery store. Otherwise, I use fresh veggies and blanch them, then bake my own chicken. I love to make individual portions of these and top it with a flaky crust.

German Currywurst

I made this recipe with knockwusrt instead of kielbasa and added more curry. I also sliced them into small chunks and served them as an appetizer. Yum! I would definitely suggest this tasty treat for your next party!

Easy German Bierocks (Runza)

I made these using crescent roll dough and filled them with sauerkraut instead of cabbage...man were they delicious! This recipe made a ton of the little buggers, but as soon as I set them out on the table they were snatched up by my guests. Also, I baked them instead of frying them.

Quick Pickled Eggs and Beets

I decreased the sugar as some of the other reviews suggested and these pickled eggs were fantastic! I let them marinate for 5 days and they were the most beautiful color. Great by themselves or over a salad.

Traditional Sauerbraten

My boyfriend and I recently hosted a German themed Christmas party. We made this in a crock pot and used flour to thicken the gravy instead of ginger snaps. It was a tremendous success!

Mexican Spicy Bean Salad

I have been making a version of this recipe for years. When my Boyfriend and I were craving salad for dinner, I looked this recipe up to see what we needed. I used sugar instead of Splenda because I am not a sugar substitute gal. I also added a fresh jalepeno for some bite. I put this salad on a bed of lettuce and topped it with avocado, tomato, and shredded pepper jack cheese. It was delicious!
