Easy Slow Cooker Meatballs

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2012
I thought these were delicious and cooking them in the crock pot was just a bonus. The only things I changed is cooking the meatballs in the over on 350 for about 15 mins before putting in the crock pot. Also, I used 2 lbs ground beef and lowered the bread crumbs to 1 cup. I did not have any tomato puree or crushed tomatoes, so I just used a jar and a half of two different flavored spaghetti sauces (one one roasted garlic and other was tomato basil and they were great together). These were a big hit with the family, even the kids. Definitely make this again.

Cinnamon-Roasted Almonds

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2012
Fantastic! I made these for my mother for X-Mas and she just loved them. I loved them so much, I tried it with other nuts I had on hand (walnuts, pecans, almonds, and cashews at one time). It was delicious. Don't limit yourself to just almonds here. Any nut will do.

Savory Apricot Chicken with Vegetable Rice

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2012
This recipe was easy and so delicious. It was a bit on the sweet side, but that was a hit with the kids. I only had apricot preserves, so I went with that. All in all, it was a big hit.

Oyster Dressing II

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2010
I decided to make this recipe after my dad begged for oyster dressing at Thanksgiving. After using the suggestions of Adam, it came out perfect. It was a hit for the oyster lovers and my dad came back for seconds and asked for a to go helping. That's a winner in my book! Thanks you

Onions and Cream Appetizer

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2010
This was so tasty and delicious. It was a big crowd pleaser. My daughter, who is not a big fan of onions, loved it. Will definitely make again. I did cut the sugar down to 1/2 cup after reading the previous reviews and it was perfect. I also diced the onions vs using rings.

Ground Beef and Rice with Cheese

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2011
Thumbs up....is what I got from my daughter and that is a good thing. :) I did some minor adjustments. I cut down on the chili powder and added onion powder, garlic powder, and beef seasoning. I also used shredded cheddar cheese vs the slices. I will definitely make it again. 4 stars due to adjustments necessary.

Foolproof Rib Roast

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2011
I cooked a 2 1/2 pound roast and it overcooked. I think you do have to adjust with smaller roast. I never once opened the oven all day, which made it difficult picking side dishes that didn't require using the stove. The crust on the pork was delicious.

American Lasagna

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2010
This turned out great and so very tasty. Every one came back for seconds. We did add some additional spaghetti sauce (we did not have extra diced tomatoes around). We did not think the ricotta mixture was enough, so we will make more next time. We did cook it longer. We covered it with aluminum foil for 30 mins and then cook uncovered for 30 mins and it was perfect on 350 degrees. It was simple but very tasty. We will definitely make it again!

Jif® Peanut Butter Fudge

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2010
This was a huge hit over Christmas time, especially with the kids! They were begging for more. I'm not a peanut butter fan and I really enjoyed it. I used honey roasted creamy peanut butter vs. just the regular flavor and gave it a more sweeter taste. I will definitely make it again. Thanks for sharing.

Crepes

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2012
I had never made a crepe before because it looked so intimidating and difficult. This recipe was so simple and the crepes were delicious. I made them for dessert so I added vanilla extract and cinnamon as another reviewer recommended. Fantastic.

Turkey Tetrazzini II

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2011
We loved this recipe! I added sauteed onions and minced garlic before adding the other items. I used mozzarella instead of parmesan (loved it!). I sprinkled mozzarella cheese and panko all over the top and baked until it was brown. I baked it for only 30 mins and it was perfect. My daughter, her friend, and my boyfriend really loved it! I would definitely make this again and try it with chicken too. Thanks for posting the recipe!

Homestyle Turkey, the Michigander Way

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2011
This year was my second year making turkey with this recipe and everyone loved it as much as they did last year. My family is from Michigan, so I was drawn to the recipe. I thought I had rated it back than but shows I had not rated it. It is just delicious and makes the turkey so moist and delicious. Will continue to make this for years to come. Just outstanding!

World's Best Peanut Butter Fudge

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2011
This is by far my most favorite peanut butter fudge to date. I am not a fan of peanut butter and I couldn't get enough of this fudge, plus it was a big hit with family and friends. I used honey roasted peanut butter which I thought was a nice touch. The fudge is so delicious without being too rich. Excellent for sure.

Macaroni and Tuna Fish Salad

Reviewed: May 19, 2009
Like others I did some changes based on what I had around the house. I deleted the oregano and used dill instead. I used ranch dressing and mayo both. I used Vidalia vs red onion. I also used garlic powder along w/ salt and pepper. For color I cut a bunch of cherry tomatoes in half. My boyfriend & I loved it! I made a separate dish for my daughter without the onions & tomatoes and she loved it too.

Butter Roast Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2012
This was great! I did season the chicken with salt, pepper, and garlic powder before pouring the sauce over it. The sauce gave it great flavor and the chicken was so tender. I used split chicken breast with skin on. I basted it every thirty minutes. It had a strong lemon taste, but we all liked that.

Beef Pot Roast

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2012
This was so delicious! The meat was so tender and truly divine. I seasoned the meat before browning with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. I padded it down and let it sit so it would absorb the seasons. It had great flavor. I added potatoes, carrots, parsnips, onions, and garlic to the pan, along with a can of beef broth and 1/2 can of water. This did not dry out the meat at all. Everything tasted delicious.

Sauteed Apples

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2012
I loved this recipe! Yum, yum. I did add a few things. I used a Gala Apple, which were rather small so ended up using about 10 of them and cut them into eights. After cutting the apples up, I added the zest of one lemon and half of a naval orange. I added the juice of half of a lemon and half of an orange. After added the cornstarch, brown sugar and cinnamon (I used closer to a tsp if not a little more), I also added curry power (about a tsp or more). The dish was delicious and a favorite with the five year old. I will definitely make it again and again.

Best London Broil Ever!

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2011
This was real easy and very delicious. I seasoned the meat before adding the tomatoes. I didn't have stewed so I used diced that we seasoned with garlic, green chilies, oregano, etc. Then I added minced garlic. I covered it and cooked for 2 1/2 on 325. It was a little over cooked but super delicious and tender. Next time (because I will be making again) I will cook it for 2 hours.
