Crunch Bar

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2013
We have always called this "Christmas Crack" because it is so addicting. If you use the right size pan one sleeve will fill it perfectly and the listed ingredients are just the right amount. I can't believe some had trouble melting the chocolate, it just came out of the oven at 375 degrees the chips are spreadable within 30 seconds. I use a small offset spatula to spread. I never spray the pan because sometimes it makes the crackers soggy and have never had any trouble removing the candy. We make gift baskets to give out at Christmas and each basket gets a half batch of milk chocolate topping and half batch of peppermint topping. I use mint chips and chop up a bunch of candy canes to put on top. These are such a hit with friends they ask for a double batch of crack and forget the rest.

This is excellent. The carrot ads to this greatly. I made the mistake of sharing with friends and my jars are all over town.Next year I'm charging for them...LOL. Perfect with whole wheat crackers and cream cheese.

Easy Canned Venison

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2012
We love this recipe, I put a tsp of soup base in the bottom of the jar, salt, garlic clove and onion. It lasts for years. I know some govt. agency says only keep for a year but my family has been canning for my whole life (60) and we have just eaten some stroganoff that the jar was dated 2004.This is the best way to eat venison year round.

Oven Fried Chicken III

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2012
Great chicken, the ONLY thing I changed was using 1/2 cup mayo, 1/4 cup ranch and buttermilk to make it easier and I poured this over the chicken in a gallon zip lock to soak in the fridge for a few hours. I also used Panko chipolte bread crumbs. The best oven fried chicken we've ever eaten. Thanks for the recipe

Lemon Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2012
Incredible bread, I followed the recipe exactly except I had about a teaspoon of lemon juice left so I added it. I gave out mini loaves of Cranberry Nut, Peach and Lemon bread and this was the overall favorite. My neighbor makes french toast with hers and it is unbelievable. Thanks for the recipe
