This tastes mostly of soy sauce and is very bland.

Butter Icing for Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2009
This is the perfect sugar cookie icing recipe. I put it on top of the Soft Sugar Cookies IV recipe on this site and it was divine.

Spicy Garlic Lime Chicken

Fantastic exactly as written. The cook times are perfect, my chicken was beautifully moist and cooked all the way through. My husband raved about this recipe!

Sour Cream Pound Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2009
I doubled the recipe, used cake flour and cooked it in a tube pan as another reviewer suggested and obtained excellent results. With these variations 1 hour and 10 minutes was the perfect cook time.

Oyster Sauce Fish

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2009
Delicious. But you definitely need to serve this with rice to help tone down the very flavorful sauce. My husband didn't think he would like it, but after eating his plate clean, he declared that he was pleasantly surprised.

Melt in your Mouth Cookies I

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2009
These are good cookies and the frosting is awesome, it tastes great and holds its shape well. Just pipe it out of a bag and you won't have any trouble frosting the cookies. My only complaint was that I could really taste the corn starch. I think I'll up the flour to 1 1/4 c. and reduce the corn starch to 1/2 cup next time.

White Cheese Chicken Lasagna

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2009
Absolutely delicious. I was worried about it being too rich, but it wasn't. The spinach helps keep it grounded. I was also concerned that my sauce wasn't thick enough, but it was just fine and firmed up in the oven.

Chicken Cordon Bleu II

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2008
This is very flavorful and delicious. However, I followed the recipe and left the chicken in the pan to simmer. During that process most of the cheese melted out of the chicken and into the sauce. This would have been fine except that it added a whole bunch of fat to the sauce you make at the end. The fat separated out and ruined the look of the sauce. Next time I'll try another reviewer's suggestion and make the sauce completely separate from the chicken. I also cooked the chicken for 30 minutes, which was much too long. Bottom line, good flavor and pretty presentation once you learn proper preparation.

Chicken, Fennel and Mushroom Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2008
Simple fast and delicious. I had some ground chicken that needed to be used, so I substituted that for the chicken breasts and it worked out perfectly. This is my first time using fennel and I was impressed by how mild it tasted. It's got just a hint of flavor that leaves your mouth feeling clean and your tummy satisfied.

Roll-Out Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2008
These are by far the best rolled sugar cookies I've ever had. They have lots of flavor and are just sweet enough to taste good without frosting, but not so sweet that it's overwhelming if you do choose to frost them. You really in truly don't have to chill the dough and it is easy to work with. This is just an awesome recipe.

Virginia Apple Pudding

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2008
This is an amazing desert! The top gets crunchy around the edges and absolute heaven to eat. I followed other reviewer's suggestions and added about 1/2 tsp of cardamum and 1 tsp of vanilla. I too spread my apples around the pan.

Chocolate Frosting I

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2008
This was good, but the flavor was sharp instead of smooth. I added about 1/4 c. of heavy cream and that helped take the bite out of the chocolate. Next time I will try making this with milk chocolate and I think that will help a great deal. It does have a terrific consistancy.

Golden Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2008
These are amazing. Very chewy and soft and they definitely come out with a nice golden top. But what amazed me the most about these rolls is they keep really well. Usually rolls dry out after a couple of days even when kept in a sealed container. But 4 days later when I pulled these out of the bag they were still super tasty after a 25 second spin in the microwave. Definitely keepers! I just made these again and used bread flour because it was what I had and they turned out perfect again.

Banana Muffins II

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2008
Okay but not as dense as I would like. I will add 1/2 cub of oats, 1/2 cup whole wheat flour and some spices next time. Also the cook time is too long, 20 minutes for large muffins should be plenty.

Cream Cheese Pound Cake III

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2008
Extremely tasty and moist. I baked mine for 1 hour 35 minutes and it was baked through perfectly. The people with pockets of unbaked batter probably used cold cream cheese that didn't mix in smoothly. Be sure your cream cheese is at room temperature and mix it with the butter until it is completely smooth and you should have an evenly baked cake.
