About this Cook
Married to a man that will eat most anything, which is great because I am always trying new recipes.
My favorite things to cook
Meals for a large number of people (I'm used to cooking for two). And of course, dessert!
My cooking triumphs
I've had people argue over who gets the last piece of a cake I made. That was satisfying.
My cooking tragedies
I think the worst one of all was cooking fish that was salted. I didn't realize it was, so I didn't soak it in water beforehand. We considered using it to melt ice on the driveway (it was winter), but it went straight to the trash instead.

Magic Peanut Butter Middles
These get a 4 for taste (would prefer a softer cookie) but a zero for ease of assembly! Many of my cookies had the top pull off with the glass (yes, I used sugar), exposing the peanut butter middle. My third tray I rolled the cookies in sugar and then used a glass...much better The chocolate part is messy, the peanut butter part crumbly but eventually comes together when worked by hand. Overall, not worth the effort. I won't make these again, but will use a similar recipe with peanut butter on top.

Amazing Slow Cooker Chocolate Cake
A coworker just made this the other day, and now it is saved into my recipe box. The cake was done on the edges but not quite in the center, but it was still amazingly delicious and I went back for seconds!

THE Pasta Salad
Skipped the onions and hot pepper sauce, added about 1/4 cup milk, and it came out fairly well. Not your typical store-bought pasta sauce flavor, but definitely worth making a second time with a few tweaks.
