Caramel-Filled Chocolate Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2011
These are delicious, easy to make and loved by my whole family. I did have some problems with the rolls melting on the rack, but it was fine.

Scallops with White Wine Sauce II

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2009
I add an entire sliced shallot and 6 sliced garlic cloves and half the amount of butter. 4 tbls made the sauce too buttery in my opinion. Other then that it is delicious!

Rich and Simple French Onion Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2008
We love this recipe. It is super easy, and very tasty. I have been using a combo of different onions, 2 white, 1 yellow is my boyfriends favorite, but mine is 2 yellow and 1 white. We both agree red onions do not go. one problem, which is not with the recipe is we love bread bowls for soup, but can't figure out how to make it work with these.. they are better for creamier soups. Enjoy!

Peanut Butter Bars I

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2008
I was the hit of the party with these bars! Everyone loved them! I followed the advice of one reviewer and melted the peanut butter with the butter. This made it very easy to mix and to spread in the pan. I also lined the pan with wax paper, so when I was ready to cut, I just pulled it out of the pan and put it on a chopping block. The peanut butter melted into the chocolate topping was perfect.. I used a double boiler for that. I will definitely make these again for my next event.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2007
Definitely best tasting pie I hae ever had and made. Few slight changes would be to mis the apples in the misture prior to adding to crust, and not do latice work. I like a whole crust on top and just poke holes in it so it is not to mushy. I have been changing the apples I use and do a mixture of Gala and Granny Smith or Granny Smith and Fiji Apples. I have made it a few times and everyone loves it.

Aunt Teen's Creamy Chocolate Fudge

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2007
I hae been making this reccipe for 2.5 years now and it is always a hit. I add a bit more of the semisweet chips as they are my favorite and everyone always loves it. I also don't add nuts. I found it best to make in one of the "throw away" bake tins as cutting it into pieces can sometimes be a pain.

Acorn Squash

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2007
My aunt makes this when I come to visit and I love it. One difference is she adds pistachios (about 25) when she is ready to serve it and it is great. The crunch they provide is a perfect balance to the mushiness of the squash.
